Installation of Remoterig RRC Micro PC-client (Windows XP)

This guide shows how to install the software on a PC-with Windows XP operating system. The procedure is almost the same on Windows Vista and Windows 7 the most important difference is that you must Install the software as an Administrator in Vista and Win7. Do NOT connect the RRC- Micro yet. Start with downloading the latest file from the Remoterig website under download . When the download is finnished click on the file and
the installation will start. |
Click on Next
Click on next if you do not want to change the folder
Click on next if you don not want to change the folder for the shortcut.
Click next if you want to create the icons suggested.
Click install if the folders are OK otherwise go back and change
Wait while the install process is running (less than 30 secs).
Unmark the Launch RRC Client box.and click finnish.
The Installer will continue with installation of the virtual comports, this will be done tree times.
When this box shows click continue anyway ( it will show tree times)
When the installation is done open the Device manager from the control panel ( under system).
Open "Ports(COM&LPT)"
There you will see the tree Virtual COM ports installed (Microbit .....).
Now connect the Remoterig RRC-Micro box to one of your USB ports.
Wait a moment until Windows has install the needed drivers.
Whn Windows report the installation to be successful open "Sound,video and game controllers"
Click on "USB Audio Device"
This box will show up an indicate everything is ok
Chek that the Location is "Location X (Microbit 1274A)"
Now the installations is completed and you are ready to go to the config.
