Configuring RRC-1258 for Alinco DX-SR8, detached panel (mode=12)
(updated 2010-May-17)

Before you can use your RRC-1258MkII you must configure both the hardware (strappings) and the software settings. They units will have the IP addresses 192.168.0.227 (control) and 192.168.0.228 (radio) when shipped. The net mask is 255.255.255.0. The configuration is easiest done via the web interface. Be aware of that your PC must be in the same net eg. have a IP-number between 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.254 and it must not be the same as the RRC:s. If the default IP-addresses of the RRC is not fitting into your network please use the RRC-Manager ( via USB) to change their IP:s see Start up settings. It's convenient to use DHCP at the control RRC but wait to active DHCP until everything is setup and working.
