Title: No sound TX on PSK

Hi guys!

I have been trying to set-up my RRC to do PSK, but I can't get it to work properly with my TS-480. When I use the sound output on my PC to pins 3 & 4 on the RJ-45 jack on the control RRC MIC/AUX input, the rig PTT's correctly using my software, but no audio comes through. I have verified that I have audio on the PC output using PC speakers. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong?

Hi

If you use the software to send PTT commands via the CAT interface, the control RRC do not get the information about change to transmit mode. So you either need to connect to the PTT input of the COntrol-RRC or set "continous RTP" on to let the audio go from Control-RRC to Radio-RRC all the time.

You must describe what is not working. If you activate "Continuous RTP" in control end audio is always go from Control-RRC to Radio-RRC. You can test in SSB mode to activate VOX in the radio and shout in the Microphone. If the audio is not comming through the cabling are not OK. If the audio is there but the the transmission is cut in the tail you must change the connections so you PTT the Control-RRC, thats always better then the PTT will be in sync with the transmission.

Hi again Mike.

Yes If I activate the "Continuous RTP" in control and I test in SSB mode, it works OK on that mode.

But I still have some doubts!

1.- From the RJ45 AUX/MIC I get 4 cables, pin3 MIC, Pin 4 Mike GND, pin5 PTT and Pin6 GND Mic, I had connected just pin 3 and 4 to a Jack directly to the PC OUT,  is that correct?

2.- What to do with Pin 5 and 6?

The solution was to buy the Signalink. After I configured the remoterig with this interface Im able to work on PSK and Rtty without any problems.
