Title: RESOLVED - Power on/off 120 VAC - Will this work?
Post by: WB4LCN on 2012-01-31, 19:42:27
Will this work with a RemoteRig boxes from computer to this web controlled power switch, or do I need the RemoteRig boxes and just run it on computer over the Internet?

Neither. It runs stand-alone with its own web interface. All you do is to plug it into
your router/switch and set it up. You start a browser to access it.

This one seems very much like overkill, there are for sure smaller, cheaper IP based
power outlets on the market. I don't know the U.S. market, but I have put several of
these into operation: http://www.koukaam.se/products.php?cat_id=19
They cost less than 100 Euros with VAT over here.

Great! They have a US website too. Thanks Mitch. ;)

Another option:

Do a search on IP-9258. They are easy to find on ebay, and there are US and European outlet models.

It is web based. That's the one I use
