Title: Yaesu FT7800/8800/8900
Post by: DO1KNB on 2012-04-19, 19:03:38
Did someone try to attach a Yaesu FT7800, FT8800 or the FT8900 control head to the Remotebox?

I want to remote control one of these radios over Internet from the control panel without a PC - if it works :-) -

Hi

We have tested with FT-8800/8900 and it doesn't work. When we get some time we will see if something can be done about it.

We have now fixed support for FT-8800/8900 and it will be included in next firmware release. The users manual will also be updated with a chapter for FT-8800/8900

I looked at the schematics for the FT-7800, and the electrical connections are the same as for FT-8800/8900 so it's a good chance that it works with FT-7800 also, but we do not have one to test with. The manual are updated with the FT-8800/8900 and the firmware will  be released ASAP.

This is fantastic news!  Thank you!

What should we watch for in order to know which model and/or version of your product to purchase in order to have this capability?

I'll be buying...  :-)
