I'm new to all of this. I have a Kenwood TS-2000 and have a few questions,1. what exactly will I need to purchase to use the remote rig at the radio and the computer to operate the rig at a remote location?...2. Are all functions available via the software especially antenna tuning and both bands for hf and vhf/uhf..

Hi

You can install the pc -program and run it without the Remoterig  connected direct to the radio to evaluate the software. When connecting the Remoterig system you will get exactly the same functionallity as the Remoterig system only transfer the data and audio, and will not give any other influence on the control of the radio.

What hardwAre do I need to do the remote?

I saw a bundle that included a USB PTT adapter for the computer and the terminal to hook to tge radio...is that all I need? Are there any special cables needed to mount it up to the TS-2000?
