Title: TS-B2000
Post by: IZ7ANL on 2010-03-14, 18:23:19
I have some problem for power ON/OFF. In particolar to switch ON I must to click a lot of time the power botton until RC-2000 start. For power OFF, I must to hold 5 seconds the power botton then disappears audio and after 5/7 seconds RC-2000 is OFF.
Any suggestion?
Many Thanks

Hi

I haven't even seen a TS-B2000 in real life, I understand it's the one with out a control panel ?

Is there anyone using the RC-2000 and standard TS-2000 who have noticed the same ?

Mike,
I think that there aren't any changes betwin TS-2000 and TS-B2000 if you use it with RC-2000.
I used RRC-1258 MK2 with IC706MK2G and I din't have any problem, Switch ON/OFF ware in real time.
Anyway I waiting some suggestions.
Your truly

HI. I also see this from time to time with my standard TS-2K and RRC-v1. But it seems to be depending on the "line" and traffic conditions on the internet connection used. I have noticed that holding the power on/of button a half second is enough, and the radio and panel switch off after some seconds. Other times it's instant. The delay is especially frequent when running via 3G(shared internet trough laptop), and just some times when running via wireless 2,4 GHz router set up as a client/bridge.
There are seldom delay when connected directly via the router's LAN cable.
But when i was in the middle east earlier this year i had this all the time. But it always turned on or off after a few seconds anyway. So i've concluded that it is just the way it is:-)

Hi

There is an built in filterning on the On/Off button. But if you press it for 1 sek the control RRC will receive the power on data message from the RC-2000. The Control RRC will store and send the power on message to the radio side as soon as the connection is up. When switching OFF there is a OFF data message sent to the the radio, the radio answers with a message to instruct the RC-2500 to clear the display (it never switches off).
We had to delay the closing of the connection to let the the panel off message from the radio to the RC-2500 to pass. Maybe this delay is to short when using long latency Mobile connections. I don't have a RC-2000/TS-2000 i just borrowed one for the initial development so I can't test it easily. Is there anyone who can give me a fare price on the setup I would appreciate it.
