What is the difference between the dongle I have, and the "new" one?

Hi

the B version has no audiochip. They stopped producing the audiochip we used and as most people use USB headsets anyway we decided not to change to another chip. The connectors is now used for external PTT and maybe paddles.

That would be more than awesome! It would position this well against the device from remotehams.com

I assume that a firmware update will not allow my old dongle to do this when the time comes and I will have
to replace it.

No firmware update will not solve it, as the A version has audio connectors and no CPU, just the audio chip.

But as currently configured, the software does not quite yet support paddle CW from the new dongle?

How much will the newer dongle cost to purchase?

Hi

When or if we release a RRC-Micro with Paddle CW support, we will set a price for a additional dongle. I can't say anything today.
