Title: Connection error 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object'
Post by: HL5BHH on 2016-02-20, 13:54:31
The Connection of pc-client (window 8 @ notebook) via my home wi-fi to radio RRC & rig  is OK, but failed via public wi-fi showing error message such as ' object reference not set to an instance of an object '
Is it due to problem of local wifi or others?

Which version of RRC-Micro? Is it a trial or not?

Hi Jan,

it's v. 2.87.
PC-client is trial version.  ( works less than a month)

2.87 must be the RRC itself. RRC-Micro should be 1.8.x or 1.9.x  ;)

You could try uninstalling 1.9.1 and install 1.9.2 as we have found out there were problems in trial mode:

www.remoterig.com/firmwares/RRCMicro_1.9.2.zip (http://www.remoterig.com/firmwares/RRCMicro_1.9.2.zip)

But note that the trial version is locked to a specific network interface, so if the interface used isn't available then it might not work.

 :) Thanks Jan.
I works on my laptop with v. 1.9.2. even on the different network environment.
As you mentioned, it checked the specific network interface.
Fontunately, it is available on my laptop whenever I load the program.
When I try to install v. 1.9.1 or 1.9.2 on my desktop, it asks MS .net framework v4 on window XP

Kind Regards

Jery

We no longer guarantee that it will work on Win XP. If you still would like to give it a try you will have to install Net Framework 4(Client),
