Title: Problem with I/O pins
Post by: I2KBD on 2016-09-01, 17:35:27
Hi all,
while trying to control my Acom amplifier using the I/O output lines, I found two big issues.
On the Radio side, pin definition on the WEB interface is swapped, i.e. OUT0 controls Output 2 and OUT2 controls Output 0.
Moreover in the WEB status page Output 1 and Output 2 are also swapped.
I got crazy for a week not being able to understand why I couldn't control the amplifer (of course I added pull-up resistors to 8V).
Anybody else faced this issue?

Regards

We have not change the I/O functions the last 5-6 years or so I think there should be many others who have got into trouble if they would have been mixed up for so long time but I will check it up

I tested the I/O functions and they are all correct, both when transfering the I/O signals beween the boxes or when controlled by the web interface. are you sure you have counted the pins correct, they are numbered in the same way as ethernet LAN connectors where pin1 is the pin to the right ?

Hi Mike,
yes the problem is solved. The misunderstanding was with color codes of the RJ-45 cable.
Many thanks for support!

The OUT1 and OUT2 on the status page (radio side) are still swapped.
