IŽve got the two of my subject, FT8900R  and IC-706MK2 (no UHF)
I am looking for advice on wich of the two is easy to configure and connect. specially without troubles.
IŽll be using the wifi board installed.
I did not purchase the RR device yet.

Thanks for your help.

I would say that the FT-8900 is easier as the FT8900 only need standard cables

IŽv got both the original cable and a copy from ebay that uses RJ cables,  both  for the IC-706.
The antena matches the ft-8900 directly without diplexer. so the 9800 is easyer to connect.
I am asking if any of them is more problematic or there is any known incompatibility.
I am also worried about the Wifi module and if it fails often.

Thanks.

Hi
About the wifi module. I have been using rrc control module with wifi for four years now. I have three units, for three different rigs, and they newer fail. Good sensitivity and no trouble with interference.

Well..  IŽll try with FT8900 plus wifi board on the transceiver body side.
Thanks.
