Title: Odd Audio
Post by: K5WA on 2011-03-28, 22:18:28
My RRC-1258MKIIs works perfectly when the two units are connected, however, when I remove the CONTROL RRC-1258 and try to use the Micro PC Client, the audio sounds like it is on the "wrong sideband" and the audio buffer bar cycles to the right constantly.  When it reaches the right side, the audio stops until the bar starts again on the left.  I find that I must put the Jitter Size on 100 to keep the audio playing as long as possible but it still cycles when the buffer bar reaches the right side of its scale.

What could be wrong?

Thanks,

if you use Win7 or Vista often the "buffer multiplier"  must be set to 2 or the "packet size" to 40 ms, or sometimes both

Mike, yes, this is Win7 and I have tried a buffer multiplier as high as 4-5 with the same result...the packet size has always stayed at 40 ms because it will not work at all when set to 20 ms.  Is there anything else to adjust?

Thanks,

First of all. Be sure that you are using latest version 1.1.16

Something in your computer is probably "stealing" time from the RPT-packet transport.
Did you install the Win7 SP1. If you did you must be sure that your computer has been
updated since then as there was some errors in the original SP1 which has been corrected
my Microsoft since then.

I you still have problems, please Enable Debug + RTP and make a test run.
Then quit the program and send the file mblog.txt in you Documents folder to me.
