Title: Yaesu FT 2000D and HEIL proset plus HUM problem
Post by: Pd1dl on 2011-08-11, 16:18:48
I am using 2 Yaesu FT 2000D`s with the RRC 1258 Yaesu TWIN in a remote setup in my radioroom for testing. Everything works fine with the Yaesu MH-31 handheld mic.

Tried to connect my Heil proset plus to my RRC 1258 TWIN controller. Buth when i PTT using the MOX or direct PTT there is only a big HUM sound on the side of the RRC radio.
Planning to connect later on my Heil GM-4.

Normaly i use my the proset plus and the Goldline 4 without any trouble buth it looks like the RRC`s make the HUM. Tested with low power on all modes.

Anyone knows the solution ?

Dimitri,

You may have better luck posting this in the RRC-1258 section. This is the Webswitch forum.

I also use two FT-2000's in a YaesuTwin setup. A couple of minor quirks, otherwise ok.

Make sure that the two RRC's are not plugged into the same power supply. If you are using the
supplied 12v supplies, plug them into different outlets/strips. To be on the safe side, keep the
radio RRC off of the same outlet/strip from the FT-2000.

Maybe that will solve your problem. If not, I suggest you repost your question in the right area.
