There is no CW-key input support at the Radio-RRC. I guess it's easier to connect the PC direct to the K3. A tradional "Transistor connected to the RTS" solution.

There is no known reason for buzzing sound via Wifi. Have you tried to connect to another accesspoint ?
There is no difference in levels between different codecs, but you must use codecs with the same sampling rates in both units otherwise it will not work

The K3 is turned off by CAT command not by the hardware signal, but if the hardware signal is kept active when the shut off command is received, the K3 will be in a middle mode, display backlight on but not showing anything. There is not much between the CPU and the output, T1 a FET-transistor = FDV301N which is showed on page 233 in the manual. They are very rugged we have not changed many during the years

Yes you get CAT info for PA, Antenna switch etc  from com1 RS-232 connector at the Radio-RRC if you have set com 1 to mode 6 or 7

Hi first question when people having trouble with Expert is. Have you disconnected the USB-cable from the PA ? When connected it disables the serial port
I don't know anything about the cable from Expert. Check it against our manual, you also need the start signal connected via SW1.

Yes you can use the ICOM Mic in the control end, without restrapping. Maybe the mic gain has to be adjusted, but it should work

OK I thought it had worked before.

Yes it's probably the MD100 which is the problem, you need som kind of adapter cable and maybe some power to the mic element. Im not familiar with that mic

Mic Gnd and Gnd should be shorted in the Control but not in the Radio rrc so that's correct

I have no further ideas than before, the mic signal do no passes any other actiove componentes than the codecs, and we have never had a broken codec before.

codec gain settings, broken or missplaced red straps, damaged cables are the only reasons I can think of.

You can send me exported settings(html) files if you want me to take look

Check the codec gain settings in both units against the instructions in the manual

Konfiguration av RRC 1258 / Re: RRC-1258 IC-706 CI-V
« on: 2020-03-08, 18:54:49 »

If you do not use Hardware PTT you need to set "rtp tx mode" = continuously in the Control RRC, see manual for details
