Just cam home and powered up the control RRC on an Elecraft K3 twin system.  Green light never stops blinking and there is no LAN connection via ethernet or WiFi.  I can get into the RRC using the setup utility and see that all the WiFi settings have been wiped and there is no IP adderess being picked up from the DHCP via ethernet or WiFi.  Rentering the WiFi credentials does nothing.
Done a reset and reflashed the firmware (2.83) nothing.  I get a green light on my router showing at least at a hardware level the ethernet port is working, but no MAC address for the RRC visible on router.
Seems the brains in the box have turned to jelly and I am off air :-(  has been working fine for almost a year up till now.
Need help!

Hi Bob,
Have you set up priority for traffic for RRC ports on the router at the station end?  Sometimes called QoS?  I found this helped, but it is not an option on BT Homehubs I have found, so new router is required.
Some traffic like HTTP browser traffic will still blast through I find, so if you are sharing the connection at the station end and someone or something else in the household is using the WAN you get stuffed anyway.

OK seem to have resolved this one.  The Wireless AP has to be set to broadcast the SSID before the RRC can find and connect to it it would appear.

Is it possible to use the serial port on the Webswitch to remote control an Alpha 87a using the Alpha remote software?  Advice on setup/config to use the Serial/Com port on the 1216H or even RC1216H? welcome.

OK, Tks.
Now have this working with BCD output off the AUX on the K3 using a Y splitter cable to drive BCD to a Top Ten band decoder (Yaesu) which switched the antenna relays.  See the Top Ten site for cable wiring requirements. http://www.qth.com/topten/bdman.pdf

Simpler than I thought!

I have a Elecraft K3/0 mini and RRC pair working great using wired Ethernet at the control end.
I installed the WiFi module and antenna, configured with the Microbit Setup manager.  However it steadfastly refuses to connect to my routers AP (Netgear DGN2000).  It can see the router SSID in the WiFi scan and I can add the SSID and password to the setup list.  But after reboot, there is no connection made to the router AP.
The router does not see the RRC on the list of potential devices.  Have double checked that the MAC address of the RRC is on the permitted list of the AP.  Also trying WPA-PSK and WPA-PSK2.  Other WiFi devices work OK.  Ethernet cable is disconnected when attempting WiFi access.
Any idea what else I should check?

Thanks

General discussion forum / KRC2 Band Decoder on remote K3

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the KRC2 band decoder on the serial port between the RRC and a K3 at the remote site and use it to switch antennas?  I presume I will have to use a slower baud rate and Kenwood protocol.
