Configuration, RRC 1258 / WINKEY USE
« on: 2022-11-08, 16:54:23 »
Hi,

I would like to use Winkey feature for CW but seems like I am missing something important. Please advice.

Control UNIT
I have connected to USB port on Control UNIT. It built 4 Virtual COM ports. Not sure which one to use for CW key (or Winkey).

Radio Unit
I connected to radio through IO port. Paddle working fine.

So need advice in settings how to use one of 4 USB virtual ports for CW (Winkey)?

Thanks!

Mitch! Thank you! You always help a lot.

At my case that was my fault. Didn't pay attention and I hade diversity active with no second antenna connected. Thank you for support! Just in case ordered newer interfaces.

I understand this. Thank you!

My question if I can get audio from both channels mixed and delivered as mono? Currently I can't get SUB audio in any way. Can I achive it and what settings of K3 to check?

Hi,

Need advise on settings. Recently purchased K3/0-Mini with cables. I believe I have old MKII.

I can't make MIX of Main and SUB channels in my Head Phones. My understanding that with Dual RX option I will have L-R channels on MAIN and SUB. But I hope that with current hardware I can do both receivers in both headphones mixed. Tried L-MIX-R setting in K3 AB-AB but still getting only MAIN receiver. What I am missing?

Managed to make it work. To operate I was needed to remove all previous versions and Virtual ports. It started to work after this.

I did on air testing with some guys and CW sending is perfect now. No problem at all. I send number of test messages on different speed with no errors. Only one thing that I was not able to fix that I can't hear my CW sending. Only one last dot when switching from TX to RX. Hope it will be resolved too.

So far progress made by Microbit team is superb!

I installed both.

1. Can't hear my CW sending except last dot in transmittion.
2. Port assigned to CI-V seems like not working. At least TRX-manger could not see radio any more.

I have similar problem with CW. My pings varies from 70 to 190 ms. I put up keying-delay for 250 (Maximum) but still have a lot of missing dits and dots. Is there any settings I can play with?

I talked to ISP and they stated that this difference is within their quality standarts so they were not very helpful. I use ADSL line at home and Wimax on remote side.

I had all new software and firmware. As I bought RRC-micro a while ago I thought that you mean to update firmware of RRC-Micro. It sounds logical and I was looking it on the Download area. I didn't find it because it doesn't exist.

So know we all on the same page. Being updated I have extra characters sent. It can be more than one.

For instance it can send cq cqq eyy8mmmm   instead of the text cq cq ey8mm

Using XP environment. Audio In and OUT works flawlessly.

Roland,

I thought we are talking about RRC-Micro firmware.

For RRC-1258 I have 2.65 firmware.

I was asked by some local guys if there is a way to use Remote in Edge network. I am using Wimax so have no knowledge about Edge. For me it looks very slow for audio.

I wonder if there is any kind of protection if Internet link fails during TX.
