Hi Mike:
Is the Icom 706 remote head completely supported for all normal functions when using the two RemoteRig interfaces?  For example power/power off, volume, memories, etc?
I believe the answer is "yes" but thought I should get the real answer!
Thanks,
Nyles W9KUW

Mike:
I went to the ATT store and they said no way can a router be used with their air card. I called ATT and they said no way. I called Cradlepoint on their MBR 900 and they said no problem interfacing the ATT Connect Lightning (Sierra 305) Air Card. The MBR 900 has 4 Ethernet connections and also wireless WiFi.  Like you said the router manufacturers will know but ATT was no help. Support will be provided by Cradlepoint. The MBR 900 is available in the USA for $119.99 plus $8.95 shipping from Quantrum Wireless 212-993-5899.
I thought maybe someone else will experience this lack of support from ATT when trying to use the ATT Air Card.
Thanks

Mike:
Yes, I see on the internet that routers that use a USB Air Card are available. I will visit my local ATT store to find out what they have!
Thanks

Hi Mike:
Thank you for the extremely fast response on my three questions.  Just the answer I was looking for on temperature specs. The ICOM 706 has been great even at temperatures as low as -20 degrees F and high as 100 degrees F.
Thanks

General discussion forum / VAT Prices
« on: 2010-07-21, 04:50:22 »
Price lists several different prices but always says "excl VAT".  I am planning on ordering the following to be shipped to the USA:
1. Remote Rig $449
2. Web Switch $172
3. Temperature sensor $9
4. Ship $30???
Everything says "excl VAT". What is my total price that will be charged to my PayPal account when order is placed????
Thanks
Nyles

General discussion forum / ATT USB air card at Radio Site
« on: 2010-07-20, 23:19:13 »
Can a ATT USB air card be plugged directly into the USB port of the RCC at the Radio Site?  I read the other subjects on Air Cards and it seems like a PC could be required with a USB air card?  I really don't want a separate PC at the Radio Site since it is in a remote area.
