Hi all again,

I continue with my research. Today I have found that if I active my AP (Acces Point) on my device, the RemoteRig Nano works. I have audio and total control over my TS-2000. And going further, if I use my Wi-Fi, it works as well. But if I forget to connect my AP on my phone, I'm as I was at the beggining, no audio on my phone.

Any idea about what might be happening?

Thanks a lot in advance. I'm trying to ask to OnePlus technical service, if I get any useful info, I'll share it with you.

Best regards

Hi all,

I continue with my research, and I have found that nowadays in models with Android 12 or greater, you can't find the RRC Nano K Pro app to download.

I have checked these models:

- One Plus Nord 3 5G --> Android 13
- Redmi Note 11 Pro --> Android 13
- One Plus AC2003 --> Android 12

But, on the other hand, mobil phones with other versions, 11 and lower, show in Google Play this App to download. I have checked Android 11 and 7.

Can there be any problem with this App (Kenwood App) that prevents it not to be downloaded on Android 12 and higher versions? and folowing with my wonder, can this problem be affecting to the normal work in my mobil phone?

You can see what aforementioned in attached pictures.

Kind regards.

General / RRC nano K-PRO doesn't have sound
« on: 2024-01-12, 16:10:38 »
Hi all,

I'm a proud user of RRC Nano for Kwd for 5 years. I haven't had any problem until now. Recently I have changed my phone, an old Nokia 7.2 with Android 11 (Android One) to a One Plus Nord 3 5G. This device uses Android 13 with OxigenOs 13.1.

I have been using flawslesly my RRC Nano K in my old phone for 3 years, but when I have installed the App in my new phone, it doesn't work.

The symptoms are:

- I can connect to my device (Kwd TS-2000)
- I can control it
- I can transmit, and the audio goes out.
BUT I have no receive audio. I can't hear anything. There is a total silence.

I have read carefully the forum, and I have to say that I'm using the last version 1.6.6 and all permissions are given to the App.

Any suggestions or ideas on what might be going on?

Thanks a lot in advance.

BTW.- If I use my old phone, where the App is still installed, all works perfect. I connect my old phone via Wi-Fi to my new one and I have audio.

Hi everybody.

First of all I have to say that I have taken a look in the forum to try to find an aswer to this question, but I have found several threads, but any works well here.

At the beginning of the summer I bought a RRC-Micro PC client wich has been working flawlessly since then. I have bought another one for my wife, because sometimes I'm out home, and she can control our remote station without problems. We use, as well, the RRC-Nano APP, and we must honestly say that it's a great tool, and it works very very well (I would like it was able to transmit CW, but I'm sure it'll do it in a future) so, as you can read, I have some experience now with this envirorment.

However, I can't use  my RRC-Micro with my FT8 program (I'm used to using JTDX, but I can use WSJT, if it's necessary) I have read several threads in this forum, and I have done the configurations I have read, without succes, so I would like to know what I have to do, because I have read the manual, and the information for two RRC-1258MkIIs is very clear, but I haven't found any configuration for the RRC-Micro in the manual.

Can anyone tell me some advice?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best regards.

Hi Mitch.

Yes, or so I tought, but not... I have checked the connexion in local, with my usual serial cable, and it works, later I have changed the serial cable that I had, and I have used this that I had in my local PC, and it works!!!!

I have checked the RRCNano, and it works!!!!

Thanks a lot for opening my eyes!!!! You were right. The cable was the problem. Now I can go to Ireland, and I can use my TS-2000 from here. For the moment is enough, later I will see how to control my antennas and other devices (like the amplifier, etc)

Best regards.

Hi Mitch.

I have recorded this short video https://youtu.be/cILIrcL4uzo You can see that first of all I start the RRCMicro, and it works, but when I start the ARCP-2000 the light of the CON button blinks during a half of second, and if you see at the RRCMicro, the COM2 starts to work, but the connection doesn't work.

I hope it helps you.

Again, many thanks.

Best regards
Luis

Hi Mitch.

I will try to record a video, and I will show you what it's happening. I have changed the baud rate at both sides, and I have checked on menu 56 of my Kenwood TS-2000 that my baud rate was 9600. If I use the ARCP-2000 locally it works flawlesly, but if I try to use it thru the RRCMicro, it doesn't work. Obviously, the local ARCP-2000 is close to RRC1258MkII and in other computer, and not in this laptop. And yes, first of all I execute the RRCMicro, with Administrator Rights, after this, I connect it to the other side (as you can see in the attached file) and later, I open the ARCP-2000, also with Administrator rights (left mouse button, and I select "Execute it as Administrator") and before try the connexion, I check that the COM is the same that I have selected in COM2 in my RRCMicro (now it's COM1), I adjust the baud rate at 9600 and I try to connect, but unfortunately, it doesn't work

In the attached file you can see the RRCMicro working, but if I try to connect the ARCP-2000 it doesn't work. It's the same using the HRD, it doesn't work as well.

As an image is better than a thousand of words, I'm going to try to record a video, and I let you know where it is, and so you can see what happens.

Many thanks for your help.

Best regards
Luis

General discussion / Problems with ARCP-2000

Hi everybody.

I'm new with Remoterig, and  before writing, I have read a lot in this forum and on the Remoterig web page trying to find a solution to my problem.

I have RRC1258MkII in one end (Radio End) and a RRC Micro at the other end. Both can speak without problems, but when I try to connect my ARCP-2000 (I execute it with Administrator rights) it can't connect to my TS-2000 that's on the other side. I have tried as well with HRD, and I have found the same problem. I have looked for on the Internet, and I have read several times the manual (both, RRC 1258MkII and RRCMicro), and I can'T find the solution to this problem. I have checked my COM ports in both sides, and all is right, because RRC1258MkII and RRCMicro can speak, but I can't control my TS-2000 because I can't run my ARCP-2000 or the HRD.

I enclose five files,

- The first one shows my Virtual Comm Ports configuration (I have used your tool Microbit Device Manager)

- The second one shows other the Debug I made when I try to connect my ARCP-2000 to the other side.

- The third one shows my RRC1258MkII serial settings

- The fourth one shows my RRC1258MkII Radio settings

- The fiveth one shows my RRCMicro settings

I'm going to go to Ireland next week, and I would like to use my TS-2000 during my free time, so any advice will be welcome, because I don't know what I have to do.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Regards.
