General discussion / No Audio from RRC
« on: 2012-11-01, 03:53:15 »
I am running TX480HX remote rig with 1258MKII and all works well.  I have had the PC client for some time.  I originally bought it for IC706 MKIIG and found out it won't work with the separated head.  I am trying to make this remote client work with TS480HX.  I can connect fine.  Status at radio shows connected with excellent RDP/UDP.  Haven't tried transmit yet.  My RTP Light is Green and and RRC flashes green however my audio bar is showing a full red perhaps meaning overdrive.  Audio is just noise. Can anyone help me?

While operating the IC706 MK IIg I am watching the status web page.  I notice the UDP Command Status on the radio end goes from 43 down to 15 the back up to 43.  Occassionally this number drops to 0 with an error.  When this happens the radio's disconnect.  Also, Although I have the DNS setup I always have a DNS query status and DNS unknown.  I am running version 2.57.  What would I look for to correct these 2 errors?  Thanks, N7AIL de Steve

Ok, thanks for the tip.  I still have the ICOM remoted.  I will rewire this and try again.  It kind of defeats what I wanted to do so I will try to hook up my flex radio instead.  Is anyone got a blog on hooking remote rig to a flex 5000?

I have installed latest firmware to 1258 II and pc client.  I can connect from 1258 to 1258 using DNS or local lan.  Rig is IC706 MK II G.  I have set my audio to 0-alaw 8 khz.  I have tried exhaustively to get the pc client to connect to remote end.  I see on the webpage that sip status shows connected and transferring and other party has correct ip address.  I can't get any audo to transfer.  I have tried the 1274 and the local sound card.  I am at a loss of what to try next.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
