General discussion / Request
« on: 2012-12-16, 03:56:04 »
Gentlemen:

I have been asked by 3 amateur clubs in my area to do a presentation on the RRC client working with my Kenwood 590S and K8ZEC's TS2000 at their respective club meetings in January and February.  I am wondering if you could send me any system drawings to imbed in a Windows PowerPoint to help how your system operates as well as a practical demonstration of the ARCP 590S and ARCP 2000 software via the RRC Client?  If you have a specific direction you would like my presentations to be presented, I would be happy to follow your lead.     By the way, i was able to get the RRC client software to work with both radios at my QTH.

Secondly, K8ZEC's dongle sound card has quit working.  I am going to test it on my setup to be sure this is not a setup problem with his system and will notify you if and when i have to return the dongle for repair.

Respectfully,

General discussion / RRC client 1.6.0
« on: 2012-11-16, 04:22:33 »
Gentlemen:

I loaded 1.6.0 onto my laptop and connected over the internet to K8ZEC's Kenwood TS2000.  When I attempted to to connect with the ARCP2000 software, the connect button went on momentarily and then went off.  I tried multiple com ports and still no joy.  The radio is set to 57600 port speed as I checked with K8ZEC today.  any suggestions?

General discussion / RRC Micro
« on: 2012-10-12, 06:04:52 »
I received my 1258/Dongle a week ago and everything was working normal until yesterday.  I have my dongle (RRC Micro) set up to work with my 1258 on a Kenwood TS2000 and on a Kenwood TS2000 that K8ZEC (John) owns.  Yesterday, the audio began to get distorted and today, on multiple headsets, it is distorted regardless of which rig I activate.  How do I return the dongle for repair/replacement?

Respectfully,

Configuration, RRC 1258 / RRC 1258 Setup manager

Whenever I try to down load the setup manager for the RRC 1258, Norton  blocks it, removes it, and provides a malicious software message.  Do you folks know about this:

General discussion / Kenwood TS2000
« on: 2012-09-11, 06:27:56 »
I have a Kenwood TS2000 and am trying to get it to talk to the RRC micro client software/dongle.  I have the radio set to 57600 at the 1258 end, jumpers in place, TTL and speaker connections only at this time.  I am using com0 at both ends, SIP port 7805, CMD port 7803, audio port 7804, web server port 7800.  I had to change the port numbers as my cable provider is using 5060 for my VOIP home phone.  I have the mode at the radio end set to 7 on the com0 screen for the Kenwood 2K.  The micro client software connects to the radio end; however, I have a red light on the RTP led and a green light on the com0 led.  I set up the ARCP2000 software at 57600 on com1.  I am using RRC micro client software 1.5.2.  The later versions never gave me a com0 led ever.  The ARCP software lights up momentarily on the connect button and then goes dark.  I tried HRD with the same settings and it too never connects.  Can you please help me as I am unsure what I am doing incorrectly?
