I’ve been using remote rig setup before and was working very well but I moved and now I’m trying to setup all again even I’ve done this before I’m having difficulty can someone please tell what I’m doing incorrectly here is setup
Webswitch1216h I set up dns setup with own host provided be remoterig and relays along with yeasu controller working ok next I try to setup RC1216 to control antenna I used same steps dns setup in menu create own host etc. I’ve forwarded  new port in router and every time I’m using created domain always got rotator page coming up what I’m missing ? Steppir is working and is accessible ok locally using ip
Also for webswitch1216h I used port 80 and I did forward in router for RC1216 I used port 9000 and same I did forward port 9000 and ip

General discussion forum / RRC connection problem

Hi all,
I had all system working ok till today I had couple times that for some reason my TS 480 shuts down and restarts alone then when last time did I try to connect to my radio yellow light came up on control RRC and nothing I left this way for a few minutes and radio was working ok again not for so long .I check my connection to radio RRC(via web page) and status shows connected every time I try to power up radio and UDP cmd status said (44) most of time but on control RRC UDP cmd status is (29) every time I'm refreshing status goes down to zero error (0) and sometime goes up but still no connection on control head panel. Does anybody have any idea what is causing that and how I can fix this (I already reboot routers on my side and remote ) I disconnect power from radio body RRc remotely I thought that hard restart could help but nope still does the same

I would like to add another radio and I do have working well Kenwood TS 480 can someone tell me what needs to be done to connect second set of RRC to working system can I use same host ? Do I need forward new ports?

Hi,
I'm wondering if you guys thinking about making remote connection for Icom 7300 I know there is factory software for it but a pc is needed .If remoterig can be used then usb port only need to be forwarded via internet -I guess? There is a big interest in this radio cause receiver and scope

I had all working but I upgraded my windows to windows 10 and now I lost virtual com port to control expert 1F-kw using factory software . Now is there is any way around to create that port without going to remote site and connecting to RH1216 cause I know before when I connect mini usb then port was created at this moment when I'm trying open 1f-kw software there is message that "this hardware configurations has no serial ports available" besides all working really well ,enjoy your product every day

I had working setup gs1000 controller via 1216L interface to web switch now for some reason my controller it's not showing position of the antenna I already check pot in rotor and seems to be fine I'm suspecting controller to be bad .I called HRO and they are not stocking controllers and its special order .Does anybody have experience with MDS RC1-Y controller for Yeasu ?is MDS and 1216L connected same way as original Yeasu controller ?any feedback appreciated

I have working setup of TS480 and every once in a while connection got lost and sometime I loose all devices some only a few to get back to normal working stage I have to access remoterig boxes with microbit setup and unchecked dhcp put any ip save it then go back set it again with dhcp and all working again .Very strange, but disconnection is once,a month once 3 months but already happen at least 5 times and even power cycle doesn't help.Any suggestions? What I notice that in net tab ip changes  but even with this if dhcp is checked unit should be pulled remotely with no problem ,if I assign reserved ip in my router will help? Remote  router is xfinity and I can provide all info if someone wants to check my setup .

General / Nano license

Hi ,
my question is I do have valid (paid ) license for my sumsung tablet and after I got galaxys5  phone wherę I downloaded software and I was using for one month now it said trial version expired now do I need to buy new licence or should I add licence for $10 cause I'm confused ,note that I'm using same radio setup with two different devices

This a fourth time my setup is giving me a problem accessing RRC web page to do changes in all previous  times I thought it's port on remote site router (possibly used by some other devices in household) my first forwarded port was 8080 then 9090 now I used 9200 it was ok for some time now I can't access my radio page ,other then that my system is working ok ,here below is description of my setup:
Kenwood TS-480
SteppIr antenna
GS-1000 Yeasu rotator
Expert 1Kw amplifier
Every device and radio working ok does anybody have any idea why I'm loosing access to my radio page.

I recently change hard drive in my computer and now I don't see virtual usb port for Expert, I've been using parallel Expert software with Web switch ,is there are another way to install virtual com port without physical connection with RH1216 just wondering?

I had working system till now I power down stepper antenna and now can't power up it only work when you power up physically at remote site but when you power down it won't come back does anybody know what possibly might causing this I 'm heading to my remote site this afternoon to troubleshoot any feedback greatly appreciated. I'm using RH1216 web switch to control antenna once you press and power up rest of buttons working ok except on/off

Did anybody had problem connecting to RRC Friday night around 23:50 Utc cause remoterig dns seems to be down for some reason along with website just before ARRL CW contest crashed and was back to normal Saturday ?

General discussion forum / RRC Control WI-FI strange audio

My setup is working ok but lately I'm getting bad audio reports that there is some sort of squeaking sound(bad fan)this is happen doesn't matter what power I'm using, it will last all the time switching on/ off radio doesn't help it only back to normal when I reset (disconnect power wire from control RRC )when it starts normal will stay ok for hours of transmitting. Does anybody have the same issue?
My setup TS-480 body to RRC to Router (wired) and control head to RRC and WI-FI .
Here attached is audio friend of mine recorded for me (audio is in Polish ) notice that when I'm speaking you can hear in background then I wait and still keying  mic for a few sec and then gets really loud

Hardware, Cabling, Installations / ts480 cw keying

I connect all cables as described in manual for cw keying but for some reason when I'm sending in cw mode its not keying the radio (it does key in fsk and fm mode ) can someone give me a hint what is wrong
I have a vox on and full break in
on radio side I'm using stereo plug where tip is connected to pin 5 and ground from plug goes to pin 8
(should I use mono since this is straight key connection?)
when I'm sending using paddle or computer in cw mode on control panel red tx goes on  but nothing coming out from radio on remote side
