I've been running this setup (TS-480SAT and a pair of RRCs) successfully for a couple of years now.  I tried to power on the TS-480 yesterday and got the dreaded 3 tones.  I can connect to the web pages for both RRCs.  On the control RRC Status page, the "DNS status" shows "OK", along with the correct host name and IP address.  The radio RRC Status page on the other hand either shows "Error, failed to resolve remoterig.com" or "Querying status".  The "Dynamic DNS status" shows "Unknown".  Clicking on the "Dynamic DNS status" link brings up a new web page that shows:

Own IP: 0.0.0.0
DDNS IP: 0.0.0.0
CHK IP: 0.0.0.0
Last reply:

Also on the radio RRC Status page, "Other party" shows 0.0.0.0

Any help is greatly appreciated!

General discussion forum / Control RRC in reboot loop
« on: 2017-09-24, 06:03:39 »
I've just returned from what I thought was a successful trip to my remote station location.

When I returned home, I plugged the TS-480 control head into the Control RRC, plugged in the ethernet cable, and the +12V.  Now, the Control RRC seems to be stuck in a never ending reboot loop, rebooting exactly every 60 seconds.

I've tried unplugging the TS-480 control head. I've tried different CAT5  cables. I've tried different power supplies.  I've tried plugging directly into the ISP supplied DSL router / modem.

Any suggestions?

Hardware, Cabling, Installations / Radio RRC: No Power
« on: 2016-09-13, 20:05:40 »
I switched power supplies at the Remote site and no longer have power on the Remote RRC.  I've confirmed that there is +12VDC on the connector (positive center), and have even tried with the +12VDC walwart supplied with the Control RRC.  Is there a resetable (or field replaceable) fuse inside the Remote RRC?  I'm currently at the Radio RRC site, leaving on Thursday (September 15) and would like to have this fixed before I leave.  I'm really hoping that I don't have to send this back for repair / replacement :=(

I'm setting up a TS-480 at a remote location and having some trouble getting the RemoteRig boxes to talk to each other.

Some background information:

- I've had the same setup working before, with the "Radio" box at my home QTH, and was able to operate while traveling using the "Control" box
- I sent the TS-480 and RemoteRig boxes to the remote location a few months ago and was able connect to the TS-480 from my home QTH

I'm now at the remote location, setting up the antenna and moving the equipment to the permanent location.  Using a web browser I can connect to both the "Radio" and "Control" boxes.

The problem:

- Whenever I try to power on the TS-480 control head I get 3 tones and the AUX/MIC yellow LED flashes.  (I believe this means the SIP connection failed).
- When I check the status of the ddns server (http://ddns.remoterig.com/status/), everything seems to be fine.
- When I click on the "Host Name" link (xxxx.ddns.remoterig.com) on the RRC DynDns Result page, the link takes me to the web page for my router (192.168.2.1) instead of the "Radio" box (192.168.2.228).  Is this correct?

I'm scheduled to go back to my home QTH on Tuesday and would like to get this sorted before I go.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
