General discussion forum / RRC not been seen on network
« on: 2022-12-13, 02:22:02 »
Setting up a new pair of RRC. Worked fine on the bench but when I powered everything back up the unit at the radio end does not appear to be on the network. Rebooted the router and the green light on the
unit is solid green but it does not show up on the network, just the control end. Is there a way to reset the radio end or has something died?

The manual does not show how to strap the AUX/MIC connector for the ID-880. Is it the same as the IC-2820?

Do hardware modifications need to be done to RRC-1258 units before the radio will even turn on via LAN. Have wired but unable to control radio remotely.

I have tried everything, three different computers, I get a error code 31, both trying web and usb. I need the new firmware as the one installed 002.028 does not support the ID-880H. These units were just purchased from HRO yesterday.

General discussion forum / Power light flashing
« on: 2010-07-02, 03:08:44 »
Remote has been working fine, all of sudden power light flashes and can not control radio. The IP is still valid as I can use the browser to get into the remote (192.168.1.227). If I remember the flashing lights means it has not picked up an IP address. I even changed it to DHCP and connected directly to cable modem and got the same response.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Doug

General discussion forum / IC-706 Motorboating

Transmit audio motorboats, both into dummy load and outside antenna. When remote connected directly to radio, audio is fine.

Currently I have to use a powerline ethernet connection to have internet on that side of the radio room. Is it possible RF is getting into the powerline or ethernet powerline adapter?

Has anyone used the powerline ethernet adapter in this type of application?

General discussion forum / startup issues

Trying to get my remote IC-706 Mark IIG going.

Completed cable, with extender, works fine.

Setup both boxes as shown.

Forwarded proper ports.

Setup DynDNS account.

Radio does not turn on remotely. I have two different IP addresses as home. Control is on one, radio on the other.

What should I start looking for?

Thanks,
Doug
