Attempted a few times to get digital soundcard function feeding the microphone input of an ICOM 2820 with HM133 adapter using Signalink and a standard Icom 706 jumper configuration (less audio to mic output on the signalink jumpers).  I'm able to trigger PTT but I don't get signal to the radio end for some reason.
Would appreciate knowing how the HM133 adapter may affect jumpers for Signalink or hearing a success story from someone with the same configuration.

I'm experimenting to see if I can configure an unused Com 1 Serial port to talk to a remote PK 232 TNC.  Presently Radio and Control boxes are configured with the front Control Micro-USB as Com 2  for radio control using HRD and work fine. (Icom 706 setup)

I put a USB to Serial adapter to the Com 1 front D-sub on the Control side and attached the PK TNC to the Com 1 port on the Radio side and tried Modes 1, 3,4, and 5 without success with or without RTS/CTS set to yes.  After failing all combinations, I'm lost as to how to make this process look like a pass through serial port.

I used the dumb terminal portion of Airmail to test.  Of note, RTS/CTS light green (seem active) on this program when the PK 232 is directly connected via the above serial/usb adapter to the computer.

I'm sure I'm missing something fundamental but only see Modes 1-8 available as options in this configuration.  Anyone have an idea how to make the serial port behave as a pure pass through?

I was trying to demonstrate Com 1 transparent use by configuring the Cntrl USB to be Com 1, then attaching an ICOM CT-17 level converter on the Radio COM 1 port using Serial Settings  Mode 2 for both ends, while keeping the Radio configuration for ICOM 706 and having the radio remote working at the same time.

Try as I might, despite matching baud rates, etc, I was unable to get it to work.

I switched the USB to be Com 2, used the Com2 port on the radio end to the CT-17, and it worked fine through HRD and the remote simultaneously.

I'll leave it be since it works but the manual suggests Com 1 should work fine but it didn't. I did have to use a gender changer on the radio end for Com 1 due to the DB9 cables I had but they are straight cables, no crossover to my knowledge.  So I guess my advice is just use Com 2.

General discussion forum / DPDT Momentary Function

Is there a way to configure the switch so a single click can close specific multiple relays?
Better yet, is there a way to do the above but make it a momentary function (returns to default after mouse release).   Would love to adopt the switch to replace a screwdriver controller DPDT momentary center off configuration.
