Hello and Happy seasons to everybody..

Have a problem with my remote which works several years without problems.

Last days although the status is showing "connected" and no erros in status page, the display does not turn on and no sound or control of the tranceiver.

I attach a photo of webpage status of both parts and a photo of Tranceiver.

Any help would be appreciated

General discussion forum / Ethernet connection problem
« on: 2019-04-13, 09:21:43 »
Hello to all,

I face a strange problem with my RRC-1258 MKII interfaces..
Firstly I had the problem with my local, (shack unit).
The power green led was flashing on and off and was not connected to the internal network.
I could not see its web interface and of course it could not connect with remote interface.
I tried unplugging many times to restart the unit but only after long time off waiting  and many tries managed to be again stable green led and work flawless.
Then after some time started again the same problem and I decided to change the factory switching power supply with another I had 12.6V 1A .
Since then the local unit worked till today flawless and only 1 time made the problem .

Now have the same problem with remote interface . I checked the voltage and is 13,6 V (transceiver supply)  and making lots of restarts cannot work and remains with green power led flashing.

Is it damaged??? What can I do to recover this issue?? I am 2 weeks without remote.

Thank U in advance

General discussion forum / RRC-1258 set with Kenwood TM-V71
« on: 2019-01-27, 12:39:55 »
Hello,
I have a problem with my setup.
I have connected Display and remote Rig with the RRC's and all are working perfectly. But not ...All
Only PTT is not working and can not find why???
For your info the sets are connected only in internal network without external ports etc.
When I do PTT on both Dashboards I check status and the PTT status change to ON. So i think cables and communication is all right?
I checked jumpers at remote and seem that all are according to the manual.

So why is not transmitting?
All other function work perfectly and RX works as should.
I have also attached the settings from both units if it helps...

Waiting for some help. Hope its something simple and stupid from my site hihi..

General discussion forum / Lost contact with Remote.

I have changed at the remote site provider but I use the same router with same parameters (opened ports).
From the moment they connected with my router remotely to setup their data for Internet I lost connection with my remote rig. I try today all day remotely to check all parameters in router and in RRC but all look correct. I changed the port numbers to default as per last edition manual but nix..
In my local RRC when I check status I see SIP error , Unknown SIP.
DDNS works OK and I see the IP of remote RRC.
My mind is empty from other ideas can anyone help?
I forgot to mention I use
Cmd port UDP 12200
AUDIO      UDP 11000
SIP            UDP 5065
Web          TCP  8080
TELNET    TCP  23

In router at FIREWALL DMZ is enabled and I have put the RRC address 192.168.2.228

Any help?

Hi all,

I have a problem since many time ago, that comes and go.
The local RRC is connected with my router via LAN cable but the "power" green led in front blinks / (not stable). The LAN green led in the back side of RRC is stable on
With this led blinking no connection begin when I press power ON and the error sound comes after a while.
When I power on and off many times the RRC I manage some times to have the power led stable and as a result then the remote system powers on.
I test the connection of remote RRC with my laptop and I can see the remote menu, that meens that IP link is ok.
I changed the Lan cable also with other new but same result.
Version of both RRC's is 2.81 and I have for remote a V/U Kenwood V71

Any idea? Hardware problem? Please any reply will help me out.

Hello,
I have a problem the last two days with my remote rig Kenwood TM-V71
When I turn on the radio it turns on and I have control of it for 5-7 seconds.
After that all controls  freeze but display keeps on  (light, display and also sound),but no further control is possible.
In two minutes I have an audio alarm that connection failed and then display- Radio shuts down.
In status menu if I check locally I can see a SIP error instead of connected or some times "connection failed".
In the beginning it shows "connected"  but after a while when freezes shows "sip error"
I tried to restart router and change lan ports but nothing.
Every time I turn ON it has always same result

Any idea ?

I used to have ICOM IC-706 as remote and latest I decided to to use V71 for V-U remote.

I changed jumpers on both RRC's and I downloaded latest SW 2.78

I made new cables for the radio and panel and I checked all of them with my multimeter were ok.

I selected Radio V71 and baudrate 57600 and connected both units in my local network to test.

On Rado RRC I put for sip 192.168.1.228:8080 and tried to turn on

Doesn't work. Pressing ON, on radio nothing happens . Not even a strange sound I had before with IC-706 when network was off.

I can see both RRC's to my computer via network if I put the addresses

I tried in panel RRC auto connect ON .then after reboot both RRC's had yellow led on and a beep came from speaker but no display...

In radio status now is

General discussion forum / AUDIO HAS LOTS OF CUT
« on: 2012-09-28, 22:27:08 »
I USE 1258 MKII SW V 2.59 TO REMOTE CONTROL AN ICOM-706MKIIG.

LATELY I MOVED TO A NEW PROVIDER AT REMOTE SITE WITH DYNAMIC IP SO I TURNED ON DDNS OF REMOTERIG.

SINCE THEN I HAVE BIG AUDIO INTERUPTIONS ON MY VOICE DURING TRANSMIT.

MY SPEED AT CONTROL AND REMOTE SITE IS 2MB UPLOAD AND 512 DOWNLOAD

AT CONTROL SITE I HAVE THE PWR LED BLINKING ALL TIME WHICH IS VERY STRANGE.(LOOKS LIKE ETHERNET CONNECTION PROBLEM), BUT UNITS CONECT AND WORK EVEN WITH LED BLINKING

THIS LED IN THE PAST WAS STEADY..  THE REMOTE POWER LED IS STEADY!!

MANY TIMES THE SYSTEM DISCONECT AND CONECT AGAIN AFTER A WHILE OR I HAVE TO DO IT MANUALLY

ANY IDEA ABOUT THE ABOVE ISSUES?

HAVE A STRANGE ISSUE WHEN I TRY IN THE MORNING TO TURN THE RADIO ON.
SIP CONNECTION IS OK BUT NO DISPLAY (IC-706) AND NO SOUND.
RED LED IS OFF AND YELLOW IS ON.
IF I TURN ON & OFF SOME TIMES MAYBE WORK OR IF I LEAVE IT ON IN FAULTY CONDITION AFTER SOME TIME IT WILL WORK. STATUS PAGE WAS COPIED DURING ISSUE AND WAS : Radio   ON
Connection status   Faulty(See below)
SIP status   Connected/transfering
Last SIP error   None
RTP status   Excellent(59)
UDP cmd status   Error(0)
THIS HAPPENS IF I TURN RADIO ON AFTER SOME HOURS.
ANY ADVISE?

HI,
I BOUGHT THE RRC-1258MKIIS FROM HRO BUT I CANNOT CONNECT WITH THE SERVER OF CONTROL UNIT.
MY EXPLORER SEARCHES FOR IP 192.168.1.227  AND AFTER SOME TIME GET ERROR THAT PAGE NOT FOUND.
I DID ALL THE UPDATES S.V. 2.50 THROUGH USB ON BOTH UNITS BUT THIS ONE HAS THE CONNECTION PROBLEM.
IF I DISCONECT AND CONNECT THE POWER PLUG SEVERAL TIMES THEN I MAY CONNECT AND SEE THE MENU. BUT IF I CHANGE ANY PARAMETER AND REBOOT UNIT IT MAY NOT CONNECT AGAIN.
