Now is already working

There are several problems:

  • When he push PTT, he doesn't have any indication on the control side s-meter
  • In RX s-meter level in control side, is lower than in the remote side
  • When he moves the dial, both frequencies move, but after several seconds, conection is lost (Red LED in Control RRC lights)

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks Mike:

RRC Setup must be correct, RX audio is OK, but my friend tells me, when he push PTT, he doesn't have any indication in control side about the remote side is transmitting (remote side is efectivilly transmitting). He is making the tests with both RRC in the same router (Local Network).

He also says that s-meter movements (in control side) are smaller than in the remote FT-2000.

Is it like this?

Any person here working with a TWIN Yaesu FT-2000 configuration?

I need to ask  some questions

I need some help for this twin configuration with a pair of Yaesu FT-2000. I'm trying to help a friend remotely and looks that everything is OK, but he told me that when TX he doesn't have any indication on the control side that the remote side is in TX.

Is this normal with this configuration?

Any user here with a pair of FT-2000 in twin configuration? A video could be helpfull

Thanks

Is it possible to make a Yaesu Twin configuration with a pair of standard RRCs?

I would like to help a friend who has a pair of RRC with a Kenwood TS-480 and he wants to move to a Twin system with a pair of FT-2000.

Does he have to change his RRcs?

After several days trying to repair the RRC, I gave up..... What I see is a short circuit at the 3,3v regulator voltage output. Trying to find who cause this short, I removed a lot of capacitor, with no success. I tried with the power supply pin of the bigger IC also with no success. Replacing the voltage regulator still same problem, voltage at the output is about 2 volts and gets hot quite fast.

Same problem here.  No green power LED but only a little flash on AUX/MIC.

No visible signs of burned parts or something.

Help is appreciated

Now with a 100 Ohms resistor in the VCC line is working fine.

Maybe my encoder is demanding too much power.

I have a problem. I've just put my new 100 pulses encoder without resistors, and sometimes work, but sometimes doesn't work. Screen flashes following the pulses, but frequency doesn't change. Disconecting and conecting again the external encoder, RC-200 restarts....

Could be a power supply problem?

Any ideas?

Waiting for a 100ppr encoder, today I've modified my RC-2000

How many pulses x rotation is your encoder.

First test with my 600 pulses x rotation encoder I think is too much. If you turn too fast, RRC goes crazy trying to count so many pulses....

Very nice performed Willi. No resistors needed?

Many thanks for the info

I'll purchase an encoder like yours

Hi Willi:

I can see the link you posted.

I've just purchased an 600 pulses/rotation encoder from China. I'm going to make my first test....

I have Red (Vcc), Black (GND), White (A)and Green (B). Is that correct? Could I use your schematic?
