Anyone out there know if there is a simple and quick way to switch my RRC Control unit from one RRC Radio site to another ?

I currently have 2 x remote RRC Radio units, each with a Yaesu FT8900 connected. Both have unique IP addresses.

I have 1 x RRC Control unit, with profiles for each of the RRC Radios.

I usually switch the profiles in the config settings, and then reset the unit.

Is there a quicker way to do this using e.g. hardware switch ? ... rather than having to change the config each time ?

Thanks for the reply Mike.
I suspected the router may be the problem,  I will try resetting it.
Unfortunately the router at the remote location doesent belong to me , so  cant change it.

Al

My RRC (Radio) keeps loosing connection with the router... and then rebooting because the watchdog (ping) times out.
I have tried various ping settings but nothing seems to resolve the problem.
The only way I can keep a connection is if I continually refesh the web interface page.
My RRC (Radio) is on a WiFi link.
The router is a BT Business Hub
Can anyone offer any advice .... please?

General discussion forum / Loss of incoming Audio
« on: 2013-10-25, 10:50:37 »
Equipment = RRC's + FT8800

A few times in the last week I have lost the incoming audio.

At the control RRC; The FT8800 display is fine and indicates the strength of the RX signal as normal but no audio can be heard.

The out going audio is fine and is transmitted as normal at the Radio RRC.
I tried rebooting both RRCs but to no avail.

Rebooting the Router at the Control end did seem to restore normal operations.

Any ideas ?

The DDNS status check facility doesnt seem to be working and my RRC is giving an 'Dynamic DNS error code 9?
Does anyone know if there is a problem.

Thanks.
After further investigation I found that the Port Forwarding on my router was incorrectly configured. I had failed to include Port 80 - so the interface was unstable.
All is working perfectly now.
😊

Ah yes, I wondered if that may be the problem.
I'm trying to test everything, including the ddns, before I separate the units.
I will try again when I've set everything up at the remote location.
Thanks for you advice.

Hello,

I've configured the RRC-1258's for use with a FT-8800 and all seems to be well ..... but only for a few minutes :(

After a short while the Yellow (SIP Connection failed) LED begins to flash and the ddns connection is lost. Sometimes it returns after several minutes, but usually it takes a reboot to get it all working again.

If I use local LAN IP addresses (ie dont use ddns) all works fine.

Appreciate any help or ideas ??

Thanks
