Hi,

as the search function does not lead to any result, my question:

Is someone using the RRC1258 in an EOC (Ethernet over coax) environment? Is the audio (SIP) properly working?
I read somewhere that audio fails every 50 seconds.

Thanks
Rainer

Thanks for the explanation.
That could be the reason, but I hate wasting energy for 24/7 if not really needed....

Thanks Jan,

Any hints how to rise the number of sucessful attempts to power up the remote site?
I have connected the remote side to one PSU (13,8V @25A) which powers radio and RRC. The PSU is started via WEB switch.
Often pressing the ON button on the front panel does not lead to a lightend up front panel.
(RRC on latest FW)

Hi

You cannot do like that, the radio must be powered up before the connection is done, so it's ready to receive data from the front panel. If it worked before it was just luck. If you want to control the PS with the output set it to I/O and controll it manually via the browser instead.

Hi,

just for interest ( and due to the fact that I have the same behavior):

What is the best order to power up the system consisting of a TS480 and the RRC1258 spliited on two locations?
What device to start first? Radio or Front Panel? Before or after powering the RRCs? Which one first?

Hi,
update: Although all red stripes seems to be at the right place and also seems to have contact, I replaced all wires with new ones ( a bit longer than the delivered ones.. makes it easier to add the crossed wires) and now it works.
Thanks for your help Mike and Mitch !!

But depending on the order of switching on the devices, the TS-480 stays at the HELLO screen, but according to my net monitor the VoIP-connection is established and running the RTP stream . No clue why.

I made some progress.
After changing the CAT5 cable between AUX/Mic (Radio) and the Mic plug of the TS-480 now the HELLO screen disappears and the normal display /frequency is showing up.
Switching between the bands generates switching of the relays in the radio part.
But PTT is not working.

exported settings send via PM.

Yes, it is the same power supply: 12 V @ 20A
https://www.conrad.de/de/ea-ps-2012-20-festspannungsnetzteil-510192.html
, think this is sufficient....
The counter on WebUI does not restart, so it seems to be continously running.

Hi Mike,

thanks for the quick reply.
I will send you the extracted setting file later.
With fixed IP the TS-480 starts but hangs with the HELLO screen...

Hi,
after spending several days and reading all related threads here:
I am still struggling to get my TS-480 working with the RRC1258.
When I am using the setting DHCP on , the power button has no function. Only the three-tone is played threetimes
When I use fixed IP adresses for both units (192.168.100.10 and 192.168.100.11) and set the SIP IP same as the normal IP  , pressing the power button leads to the HELLO screen on the TS, but then nothing happens.
How should the SIP work while using the same IP?
Why is DHCP not working? Access via the WebUI is working...
Any hints?

Regards
Rainer
