Configuration, RRC 1258 / Re: ROTOR-Control
« on: 2017-08-24, 09:19:09 »
Hi Lou, thanks for feedback.
Now I found the reason for my problem!
Microbit says there is always a transparent serial connection available between a CTRL and Radio Box.
My understanding was that this "line" is mapped to one of the virtual COM's when you connect the CTRL box via USB to the PC.
That is wrong.
The line is always available from COM1 port of CTRL box to COM1 port of the Radio box.
Now I use that port and I can control the rotator!
See the updated drawing.

Hi all,

As shown in the attachment I try to setup a Control Box connected to a Radio Box and then to corntrol the connected TRX and Rotor.
If I do the setup using the Remoterig Client with a dongle it works.
(The setup is not excatly as proposed! If I do so it does not work!)
In the case of using both boxes I have Audio perfect and control of the TRX by HRD perfect.
In no case I can control the Rotor.
Strange is that HRD must be connected to COM13 not as expected COM11.
(See attachment)
Any idea where I produce the "mixup"?

Hi all,
we are thinking about to use our existing RemoteRig Radio und RemoteRig Control in our club.
See attachment.
The sever is down in the valley and controls via RemoteRig CTRL the RemoteRig Radio up in the mountains controlling the TRX.
Does somebody has experiencies with such a setup?
How to setup RemoteHams Sever to control the RemoteRig Controls Box as a "TRX"?

Thanks for any suggestions

Hi all,

problem solved.
The parameter "Rx Jitter Size" was set too low!
Before 4 and now 8 and with that value it works here correct.

Hi all
I am testing to control a IC706m2kg by RRC Client and a RRC-1258 Radio BOX.
I am actually using the trial Version of the RRC Client on the PC.
I can connect  and RTP becomes green and RRC is blinking
Speaker shows green dots and somtime a orange one.
I can hear the audio on the PC but only in "pakets" not 100% of the time.
With HRD I can control RX qrg and so on.

Do I miss something to set?
Thanks for support.

Hi all

We did setup a RadioBox and a ControlBox interconnecting a IC706.
Finally it did work fine over the net.
Then we did try to listen to the estabilshed link with the SW RRC-Micro PC-Client.
As soon as we did connect the audio went off at the running connection between ControlBox and the Radio.
Then we went back to the normal setup ControlBox to RadioBox.
And now it is no more possible the POWER ON the IC706 via the ControlBox. We are getting sounds like a occupied phone line. (out of the IC706 Terminal)
Looking via the Monitor to the boxes everything looks similar.
The satus shows:
Connection staus Disconnected
SIP status unknown(1)
Last SIP error SIP error >>> This is probably not fine!
The rest looks fine as before.

The yellow LED at the ControlBox (AUX/MIC) is blinking when I try to power ON the TRX.

When I put the cabel direct between IC706 control to IC706 TRX case the unit powers up as usual.

What do we wrong?
Thank for any idea!
Best regards
Armin
