I am thinking that my I/O settings are screwed up. Could that be why SSB audio not getting through the RR boxes...?
Here is what I have today:
IN0 mode 0
OUT0 mode 1
OUT0 mode 1
OUT1 mode 0
OUT1 mode 0
OUT2 mode 0
OUT2 mode 0
I don't really understand what the 1's and 0's mean? does 1 mean first selection in the pull dowm menu?? In case of OUT0 there are only TWO selctions...so what does "3" mean?
These are different from settings I had in October:...don't know how I got these.

Thank you Mitch . The mike is plugged into the MIC jack on the K3 Mini. I have two headsets Heil Pro and CM500...they both worked previously when plugged into the MIC jack on the K3 Mini.
I have an eight pin female to RJ45 for my microHam keyer and FT1000MP so can cludge up connections to see if it will work.
Can't understand what may have changed. SSB and JT65 connections worked before . Main interest is in JT65 and that worked (since October) when I plug in the PC sound card to the MIC and SPKRS jack on Mini.

I have K3 Mini and K3 Remote
I also set this PTT parameter to NO and now CW in SSB works.
Also can key the rig in CW mode with VOX turned OFF. So PTT is coming from some other source?
Still trying to figure out why I have no SSB output - which is unrelated to the PTT issue,

I have confirmed that both are set to CONTINUOS and FULL DUPLEX is YES. I also opened the RR Control box to check if any red jumpers were out of place but they are all in place and jumpered correctly in the socket according to the manual. SSB di work all OK with this headset. Tried Heil Proset as well --- same result
Observations:
Memory M1_M4 will key rig and transmit audio whether VOX is ON or OFF.
CM500 headset mike plugged into MIC on K3 Mini will not key VOX
CM500 headset mike plugged into MIC on K3 Mini will not transmit SSB audio when XMIT is pressed to key rig manually.
MAIN: MIC SEL > rP.H bias
MAIN: MIC+LIN > OFF
RR Radio Box: PTT Activated by Keyer > OFF
RTP tx mode > CONTINUOS in both RR units
RR Control FULL DUPLEx > YES

I have similar problem here with my K3 Mini and K3 Remote. SSB was working but now it is not....With VOX turned on VOX does not key rig and if I push XMIT to key rig manually there is no SSB output. Strangely though if I use M1-M4 voice messages they are transmitted OK using VOX or manual XMIT button. . Tried two headsets CM500 and Heil Pro.....same result.
Have triple checked MIC settings in MAIN...set to rPnl.H BIAS
Working on it for two days....at a loss. Something defective in either K3Mini or RR Control box??....Last SSB QSO was Dec 28 and had not tried again until wanted to use JT65 in TX DATA mode few nights ago and could not get any output.
Any help??

« on: 2016-01-11, 10:57:47 »For some reason I have no power output on SSB...using K3 mini with remote K3 and RR Boxes.
I have rPNL.H BIAS selected and MIC GAIN at 12. SSB was working and I have not changed anything in past couple of days. Headset CM-500 plugged into the SPKRS and MIC jack on the side of the K3. Also have Heil...same issue.
Last night I tried to work JT65 on 160 and could not get any output.
Full power ok on Cw. Receiver audio sounds normal.
If I use the audio files in M1-M4 all is normal and they play and I get RF out.
K3 Utility tells me that FL1 FRQ is -.77 also same on the CONFIG menu ....I have not changed that setting but I have seen a few posts elsewhere that claim if the OFFSET is "off" too much there will be no SSB power out.
When I turn on the MONITOR and press XMIT I can faintly hear my audio like in a barrel. So the mike works...
Anyone have any clues as to what is going on?

I too would like to access my remote K3 using K3 Utility ...I have the K3 Mini and the RR boxes...
I have the system interfaced to N1MM and also DXLab Commander and it works fine ...but same settings do not work using COM7 in K3 Utility.

My PC 64bit Win 10....yes this new version V1.3 now works Ok ...DEVICE is CONNECTED all Ok and can read data.

It seems that problems were mainly that I was attempting to use a static IP address for the RR Control.
The static IP matched the range for the router but it did not connect to RR Remote . I ran setup manager and changed to DHCP....that solved the problem. Was able to connect from two different networks at different locations in Ottawa. I was also able to plug into Ethernet jacks at both locations. Wifi at the two locations did not initially work probably due to the DHCP setting....I did not have an opportunity to try Wifi after solid connection using direct Ethernet cable connection.
So for me the new rule is ALWAY USE DHCP WHEN TRYING TO CONNECT TO UNKNOWN NETWORK
