That how it is, nothing that will be changed.

FT-857 with frontpanel attached is like any other Yaesu without detachable frontpanel

Timeout mean that the app can not connect to the Radio-RRC. If if it's a license problem it says "License expired".
After you have changed phone you can always use the  new one for a month before you need to transfer the license

General discussion / Re: Connecting to FT-857 via RRCMicro

Hi

Yes you need a CT-62 interface between the RRC-com2 and the Radio. ANd the interface must be a genuine which is powered from the radio or from an external source. The RRC do provide power

In the linear modes there is no compression or anything else. In the A-law modes compression/decompression is done according to the specs for a-law

Hi

I no expert of Green Heron. Mode 1 is the safest to test with, as characters are sent one by one. It's always a risk that the control program is not working well with virtual serial ports, but normally they do. If you don't make it our webswitch 1216 may be a solution http://www.remoterig.com/wp/?page_id=166

In general If you have changed something the you should look at the changed equipment for the trouble.  Check that SIP ALG is off for example. You talk about access point, if you have chaged it, try  to connect by cable instead first.

But if you can browse the RRC the RRC is OK, and it's a matter of settings somewhere.

That you loose the connection and need to reconnect again showing that you have network/internet connection problem. That you have to restart is probably  related to that. i assume that you have setup the ddns function correct so it's not just that the public ip has changed. When this happen can you still access the router and other equipment on the radio site ?.  I would try to replace the LAN-cables, Switches and router to see if there will be a difference.

Data  abort DO NOT indicate any problem with the RCC. All RRC shows that sometimes. If you can browse them the IP interface works. Look at other things that may have changed.

Again, data  abort DO NOT indicate any problem with the RCC. All RRC shows that sometimes, so you have to find your problem somewhere else.

Hi the low temp i s no problem

Data abort just shows that the internet connection is not working ok sometimes. If the RRC can't send out it's packets the memory will overrun and a data abort is created. Nothing that you can do about in the RRC it's a network issue.

Did you solve this, I got no reply on my instructions. Was the email stopped by your spamfilter ?
