Man får inte igenom fler signaler med USB. Serieportarna är i första hand tänkta för radiostyrning där man inte behöver några styrsignaler alls. Måste man föra över "hela" serieportar så finns det enkom utrustning för det från andra leverantörer.

som du ser på samma sida i manualen så skickas på COM1 en status signal i resp riktning, pin 7 och 8 ( aktiveras i setupen). Dessa kan man ju i kabeln koppla till valfri pinne om inte det råkar stämma med den utrustning man skall använda. En statussignal brukar räcka i de flesta fall.

Många routrar klarar inte av att använda det externa ip numret eller dyndns namnet internt i LANet, Vissa klarar det tex Netgear. Så förmodligen är det bara det som är problemet när det funkar utifrån.

Ang rotorn vet jag inte riktigt hur du menar, jag antar att du har Webswitch 1216H med rotorinterface 1216L där ansluter du till rotorn så att du får en spänning in till 1216L med ca 0-12V beroende på riktning. Jag ser inte att det har nån betydelse att det är 10 varvig pot bara man får en späning som är någorlunda linjär mot riktningen. Det finns ju rätt många kalibreringpunkter så det brukar ju oftast fixa sig.

To me it sounds like you have connected the RRC to the paddle input of the TS-2000. You should connect it to the straigth key input. The RRC should be seen as a external electronic keyer producing a straight key signal. If you hear the sidetone from control-RRC it's active, then you should set output 2 in the Radio-RRC to "keyer" if you use standard cables.

Easiest is to use COM2, connect CAT cables to both RRC and setup RRCs, Radio and HRD to same baudrate.

som man ser i manualen på sid 11 så lyssnar RRC på pin 3 (RXD) och sänder på pin 2 (TXD). Det gäller i båda RRCerna. Det innebär ju att det som kommer in på pin 3 i Control-RRC kommer ut på Pin 2 i Radio- RRC och vice versa.

COM1 på Control RRC kan koppla direkt till PC med en rak kabel. Radio RRC ser ju inte ut som en PC så att om man skall koppla den till en utrustning som normalt kopplas till en pc så måste pin 2 och 3 vara korsade förutom att det måste vara hanar i bägge ändor. Nollmodem kablar är farliga jag har åtminstone identifierat 4-5 olika kopplingar på dessa så det är bättre att tillverka en själv.

You do not say much about what you are trying to do, what software version you are using ?
Are you setting up the system to be controlled by HamRadioDeLuxe or other PC software ?

If you use the internal keyer function int the RRC the length of dit and dah are not at all depending on the internet connection, they are generated at the remote side and the ratio between dit and dah are constant, the ratio can be set in the keyer setup.

The key delay can be increased to improve the tolerance against Jitter, you set side tone to 0 then you can hear the side tone from the radio eg. what is actually sent from the radio when testing what value you need for the key delay

I agree with pd0psb I think you have a ground problem at the transceiver end, There should not be any hum if everything is done correct, Try using the same powers supply for both RRC and Radio if you do not today.

In the K3 Twin config you can use com-1 for logging in control end and com-1 for antenna switch for example in radio end. Com 1 is intelligent mixed with com 2 just for this purpose. Com-1 should the be set to mode 7 in both ends.

This is only available in the not yet relased firmware for Elecraft Twin

If turning the VFO cause audio drops you have to narrow bandwidth. Change to audio quality 0 and try. You can check in the manual how much bandwidth is needed for the different audio qualitys. Remember that DSL connection are not symetric, the uplink can be quite narrow.
