If turning the VFO cause audio drops you have to narrow bandwidth. Change to audio quality 0 and try. You can check in the manual how much bandwidth is needed for the different audio qualitys. Remember that DSL connection are not symetric, the uplink can be quite narrow.

Increasing the buffers will only help to cover short dropouts, if they are longer you must find the reason for it. It can be because of unstable internet connections, problem with a router or just limited bandwidth. For example if somebody else in the house browse a heavy webpage, that session may take all available bandwitdth, causing a drop in the audio. You can also try to connect from a different location to determine in which end you have the problem.

It is probably RF going into the cable exactly as you asume. Under normal circumstances this is not a problem but if the RF field is very strong it can cause problem. The best is to keep the RF out of the schack with an RF-choke on the antenna feeder. A ferrit on the control cable may also help.

If the RED LED comes on you have already lost the incomming RTP stream for a few seconds. This is nothing which can be fixed by the RRC.s or it's settings. This is a problem for the ISP. If you connect from a different place you can find out if the problem is in the control or radio end.

If the packets are really missing, Remoterig can't bring them back. But if they are delayed (jitter) you can get better result by increasing Jitter buffer size and jitter buffer delay, see manual. The settings are for receiving, so if you have problems in both directions you have to increase them in both RRC:s

Du skall ha inställd radio mode 5 = TS480.... . När du sedan ansluter med RRC-micro så ändras parameterarna automatiskt så att COM2 Används det behöver man inte ställa in. Du skall ställa in parameterarna  för att använda com2 i både PC och RRC. Maila mig ip och övrigt som jag behöver så kan jag prova härifrån och se att du ställt in rätt. Det vanligaste orsaken till problem brukar annars vara att man glömt att koppla ihop pin 7 och 8 i CAT kablen mot radio.

Har ni verkligen monterat CI-V kabeln till COM2 ? Då måste man ju ha RS-232 till TTL omvandlare. Denna måste då strömförsörjas separat. COM2 kan inte strömförsörja en CI-V kabel direkt. CI-V kabeln ansluts ju enklast till TTL porten då behövs ju ingen omvandlare. Tänk också på att IC-706 inte går utan panel som TS-480 tex.

You can not connect the USB port together, as both the winkeyer and the RRC are SSB devices, and devices can not talk to each other. One must be a Host. to use the USB in the RRC to key you must go via the virtual driver in the pc, Meaning that in your software you have to select the RRC virtual driver as output for CW keying. Im not sure if its possible with win key but it's possible in most logging software like N1MM etc.

If that's not possible you can use IN0 in the IO connector as a keyer input, probably there is a key output  on your keyer which you can connect to the IN0.

I use TM-D710 my self. I have also seen that if the disconnection is caused by Internet failure, then you can get in trouble when trying to connect from the button. A reboot of the Radio-RRC can be needed. We will look in to that when we get time. I don't think it's a mayor issue.

Eftersom du fått igenom några tecken så är väl kablarna rätt. COM2 har dock inga status signaler så man kan behöva bygla dem mot PCn om de används. Vilken mode kör du i ? Serieport över IP är inte så bara. Ibland så spelar det ingen roll om tecknen kommer över som dom skall det funkar inte ändå pga av den som skrivit pc programmet förväntar sig att det är en fysisk kabel och inte accepterar någon fördröjning alls tex. Men börja med att prova i mode 1 character by character, då skall det alltid funka, gör det inte det är det knappast ide att fortsätta. Den moden skickar tecken för tecken oavsett vad som kommer, det blir dock mycket overhead men det spelar nog ingen roll för en rotor. Går mode 1 så prova mode 3 den skickar då ett paket tagits emot och det blir ett litet mellanrum. Vet man vilket stopptecken som sänds så är mode 5 mest effektiv. Jag har för mig att ERC konstruktören tom har med ett exempel på koppling via RRCerna på sin hemsida.

If you get that MAC address you have lost important data in the flash memory. Open the box and read the serial number on the label and email it to me. I will then instruct you how to do.
