Hi

That should not be possible, but is easy to fix if you send me the real serial number from the sticker inside the boxes

If everything works besides the PTT and Mic audio then the straps are probably missplaced or broken. Check the placement against the manual, check that you have the box the same way as on the picture in the manual. If straps are placed OK check them with an ohm meter, they can have been broken when pressed into the socket, even if it's not visible. There is no settings that can be wrong, only straps or the Mic-cable from Radio-RRC to Radio.

General discussion / Re: RCC control output
« on: 2011-04-25, 10:00:19 »
Hi

There is no way to control the outputs from the pc-client. But you can set an IO pin to be activated automatically when you connect or set it in on/off mode. In on/off mode you can browse to the Radio-RRC and activate and deactivate the IO pin direct from the webpage. Maybe you have to upgrade to a later firmware to get this functions.  73 de mike

The RRC:s are extremly tolerant and stand against almost everything but thunderstorms. Units comming back for repair is extremly rare. I don't have a box with me so I can check what component you are talking about, but it's probably the automatic fuse. Something is consuming to much power. Remove all cables and only connect the pwr cable. If you still have the problem you have to send it in for repair.

A ts-480 with detachable frontpanel should be used in mode 5 and there should not be a connect button on the status page. The connect and disconnect are controlled automatically from the PWR on button on the control panel. If nothing happens when pressing the pwr on button your cable is wrong or you have not set the baudrate to 57600 so the RRC can not recognize the power on command.

Yes I have used the big brother Powerstation 5 my self for remoting a IC-2820 on a mountain top 16km=10 mile away for years and they work perfect. I have a input level of -56 dBm so the noise margin is really big.

The USB-problem is solved. If you suffer from it update to v2.36 via the web interface, then it works even from USB next time.

General discussion forum / Re: Yaesu Twin Radio Pairs
« on: 2011-04-20, 16:37:54 »
Under the "learn more" tab the following text is available "The concept was initially developed to be used by two Yaesu FT-5000:s, but when it’s now released to the public it will also work with FT-950, FT-2000 and FT-9000 in pairs. Combinations of them can also be used, a FT-5000 can be controlled by a FT-950, FT2000 and FT-9000 also."

The RRC-Micro PC-client only works in mono. It works with a all models of Radio-RRCs. If the RRC is set to Dual-RX it will be automatically changed to mono during the time the PC-Client is connected.
