News / New product released
« on: 2011-01-25, 13:12:41 »
A new product called RRC-1258MkIIs Yaesu twin is released. The Yaesu Twin concept is a high end concept for the serious ham who do not accept any compromise even when remote controlling his station.

If you have updated many versions you probably need to select which output the keyer should control. This is done under the IO menu in the Radio-RRC

Ok

then I understand, And if you check the firmware page, both at v2.20 and v2.26 versions, both units needed to be updated. So 2.33 against a 2.12 will not work  properly as the Audiostream format is changed

What do you mean by noise is terrible.

I understood it as it was noise radiated over the air. Or do you hear it in your speaker connected to the RRC ?

Better description of your problem is needed, We cannot guess.

Hi

The RRC.s generate extremly low noise levels, Ethernet by it's nature generate som noise, 100 Mbit more then 10 Mbit so a Jan says always use Preferred 10 Mbit. Even if the RRC fullfills CE and FCC demands a cheap chineese router or switch may not do it, so noise can come backwards from the switch etc.

One guy sent be his RRC and say there nust be something wrong with it, as soon as he connect it he gets S9 + 30 dB noise on 80m. I checked it with a spectrum analyzer and even put an antenna wire to a HF rig direct on the pcb and no s meter indication. Anyway  I replace the pcb and before sending it to him I did the same measurements and took a photo of the setup and S-meter which I attached. When he got it the had the same problem, but at that moment he understood that the problem was local and he found out that it was his switched power supply which he connected to the RRC which started to generate the noise as soon as there was a load connected to it.

Hi

DL7AV gave us the clue to how to change the sampling in Iambic mode B. He and most of them above who have complained have now tested and are satisfied. It's not easy to fix thing if you just hear that something is wrong, we need to now what's wrong also.

« on: 2011-01-20, 19:16:00 »
There is a new version v2.33 available for the RCC:s

Bugfixes:
- Iambic B mode is fixed, approved by all test pilots. (check keyer settings after update)
- Jitter buffer size can now be set to 15 as the manual says.

Det är svårt att säga exakt, det beror på flera saker, bl.a Radio godkännade od.

What I mean by not changing existing modes to satisfy some people, is that people who are using a mode and are satisfied with it will probably get in to problem if we change them. Thats why it's better to make a new so every one can keep on with the mode they are used to.

I will check how the sampling is done

Mode 4 should be used for Elecraft. The commands in the Elecraft protocol is ending with a semicolon ;
that is the sign which tells the system to send the message over the IP-net.

In mode 3 the message is sent if there is a pause in the incomming data or when the buffer is full it also works in most cases but mode 4 is more secure

Hi

Try to switch the boxes to find out if it follows the hardware or the installation around it
