Many thanks for the hint with preamp.

With the beginning of Sporadic E Season on 6m I've been reported extremly bad modulation but great signal on that band.
The Rest of the bands (10m down to 160m) work 100% fine with 100W and great audio reports.

Will try to play with codec preamp to see if I could solve the problem.
Unfortunatly I have no station near my remote QTH able to receive on 6m so that
tests will have to be done with strong sporadic stations :-(

I would also be interested in this feature to trigger my tuner or other dev's

Problem solved-
The TRX is switched off now - Maybe it didn't the other day because HRD was running on local PC. To test enxt time when I'm re at remote qth.

Thanks all

Thanks for your reply.
I already use  Menue 22 - timeout - but what I miss is that the blackbox is shut off by
remoterig box when connection to the control unit is lost.

Hard Powerswitch is planned but as there is mostly human presence I can just give a call to remote QTH and ask for "hardreset" ;-)

When I got the units I configured them and tested quickly locally - It worked.
This was weeks ago. Till then I had no time to reuse/retry them.

Now I'm trying because I leave the remote qth at the end of the week and anything has to run perfectly (remote QTH is 1200km away so no quick pass to repair is possible)

First thing I noticed till now is when you disconenct Lan cable from the control unit to simulate an interruption of the internetconnection the Transceiver remains ON and doesn't even shut down after several minutes.
(waited approx 8 minutes)

Is there any listing of failsafe-mecanisms or does somebody here has tested failsafe szenarios and could tell me what faislsafe mecanisms are implemented in the RRig boxes or what he tested?

Considering the distance of the remote QTH I wanna be sure to have something failsafe. Even if most time a person is present at the QTH and could in case of failure shutdown all in a delay of an hour or some hours.

Only failsafe feature I actually know of is on the transceiver side : It's the TS-480's Time off timer i already set to 3min.

=> Will continue testing and see but any informatiosn would be appreciated :-)

2nd Question is about setting up the voice quality.
I dont really get it *g* even with consulting explicativ pdf doc. So perhaps you can help me here.

=> Which one hast best quality and slowest delay / fit best my setups caracteristics ?

I actually choose N° 2  just by default knowing no better.

At the remote QTH I dispose of a 6Mbit down/~1Mbit up ADSL line
At the control QTH I dispose of a 16mBit down/ ~1mbit up Adsl2+ line
Ping delay is mostly average of 90ms up to 120ms in some peaks (1 out of 20) ( pinged from my pc connected via wifi)

I operate only SSB via remoterig , ( PSK31 if RRig permits - if not will use remote pc for psk)

Many Thanks in advance

A Friend of mine, I told about my project was very interested to know if somebody just tried to know if remoterig
also works for Kenwood TM-710 or TM-V71 VHF/UHF mobile Radios as he only owns a VHF UHF license.
