Hello can anyone help me out, i am looking for information in how to install Acom 2000A with a Kenwood 480 Sat and RRC-1258MkII and what cable i would need.

I know i need to also get a hold of RC-1216H for radio side. Would there be a link i can buy the cables rather than making them up myself.. Many thank's for any help.

Can anyone help me out, i am working RRC-1258 with Kenwood 480 Sat. I have just upgraded my radio to the Yaesu 991a. 

I have had a good look in the User manual for the Yaesu 991a radio's and can't find any info on how to install the setting there.

Has anyone in the forum managed to install radio OK and if so would know the correct settings in each box to work.

Can anyone tell me if there is a fix for no audio from the Kenwood 480 Sat, this morning the audio would not work for some reason. This turns on OK and also receive fine.

Have placed new power cable's, also factory reset, changed over to second face from car, second RRC unused control connected also show the same problem also.

Hello there can anyone help me out i am trying to install Pinheader for WiFi card in one of my first RRC Control box.

Looking at my second box it looks like a newer build inside. The newer box looks like needs more pins installed rather than old one.

Can anyone give me some advice in how this show be in the older version with 10 pin holes rather than my second RRC Control with 14 pins.

Hi there can anyone help me out, for some reason each time i key the microphone the red light flashes and shows like the microphone is pressed on the Kenwood 480 Sat.

All the jumpers on both boxes have not been changed in any way.  I have tried two different power supplies to each boxes and also 3 different microphones with no joy.

Any help would be greatful

Hello there would anyone know if possible to work both RRC-1258MkIIs and Kenwood TS 480 to RTL-SDR V3 RTL2832U. The cable has been already installed inside radio to RTL-SDR before but now would like to work with remoterig.

If this is possible to do on COM 1 both boxes how would I have settings in Serial settings in both Radio and Control side and is there anymore changes needed in settings.

General / RRC Kenwood Nano "license expired"

Hi there,

can anyone tell me is it possible to renew the Kenwood trial period, never got chance to work this here when Remote Rig was not working for over six months.

Message says trial period stopped by the expire. Can you tell me if this is possible to be fixed with Lic.ID 6d98 or would i have to try install fresh again.

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me i have two kenwood 480 Sat's. Old one works fine with remoterig ok.  Tied to change to other second 480 Sat but like getting a carrier when i work radio on USB.

Seen a old post before there is two versions of kenwoods SAT & HX that you have to configure the red pins in RRC Control and RRC Radio depending on sernial numbers on version of Sat or Hx.

Would like to add the Kenwood 480 Sat i work from the remote station placed in my works van and nicer looking radio to my home. Any help would be greatful..

Hello there.

Can anyone help me out, i am having problems when i key the Microphone on Kenwood 480 Sat, i have been told there is feedback from my audio with the RRC-1258MkIIs boxes.

The radio works fine without Remoterig so not sure if it could be the way the jumpers and red cables are configured in both boxes. Could anyone tell me is there i link that i can look at the way control and radio should be installed inside.

Hello there,

can anyone help me out and tell me if I get a IMO WiFi device like http://imomobile.co.uk/products/imo-go/ and connect to Radio and the antenna side of Kenwood 480.

I have been told that it is a dynamic IP address would it then possible that I can then forward the ports as normal and use the radio over the internet to the control side.

Hello there can anyone tell me the best way to set both remote boxes so I don't need to use the Ethernet cable.   I have both the WiFi antennas from the shop but just not sure if there is a link to configure this.
