Update to my previous post:

Icom has updated his RS-BA1 Software to Version 1.80 but this software is also disconnected in unregular times.

To explain more detailed: I'm connecting to my remoterig via the remoterig RRC-1258MKII and connect the RS-BA1 Remote Control to the "local" RRC.
So I can tune the frequency, tune the transceiver, change settings like power filters and so on and most of the time it works.
but as explained in the previous post it gets disconnected from time to time and doesn't work until I reconnect the RS-BA1 Remote Control Software. The audio still runs through so the RRC's stay connected.

How do you tune your remoterigs when you cannot use a detachable tuning part like me (IC-7200 cannot detach the control panel.

Hi Tom,

I'm running the same tuner with an IC-7200 successfully but I was wondering if I could get the displayed values from the 993B to my computer where I'm sitting during operation.

Tuning by just pushing the "Tune" Button works, and RS- BA1 shows me a nice SWR but the latency of this is a little confusing. Today I started to think about placing a webcam in front of the MFJ streaming the screen but then I realized this RS-232 connector on the back.

So I was thinking perhaps I can get the collected data somehow transfered into my remote shack.

Did you get further with your investigation?

Curious to learn how you proceed.

Greetings

Hello,

is there an update of this thread?

I would be also able to do some beta testing - having IC-7200 connected with the RC-1258MkII or similar a setup with the RS-BA1 with RC-28.
So if you want to do some tests with my setup - just let me know.

Hi,

I'm fighting with my settings of my setup (IC-7200 connected to the Radio Side RRC, transparent internet connection to a standard Windows PC and RRC-1258MkII connected with USB and serial with another stable highspeed internet connection)

I stupidly didn't backup my configs before I started to change settings (espescially the IO Settings) so I cannot get to a point I were already.

Can someone please be so kind and post the radio side configuration?
Radio Settings
Serial Settings
and IO Settings

Thanks

Hi all,

I'm expiriencing the same since a view days.
I'm using the newest release of RS-BA1 (1.70) which I used also with the Remote Utility for a long time.
There I never had any timeouts or disconnects. The only reason I moved to RemoteRig was the ability to use CW Keying Interface.

This works, but I often expirience timeouts (mostly when I want to push the PTT) and then I need to reconnect the RS-BA1 Software and it works again for a undefined time.

Strange - hope you guys fixed it.

--------

I forgot to explain the setup:
I'm running a IC-7200 at the remote site connected to a symetrical auto tuner and to the RRC-1258MkII.
On my local site I'm running a classical Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Desktop (Dual Boot) and the RRC-1258 MkII.
