Det samme som har vært hele tiden under min remote kjøring. Radio enden: Kenwood TS-480 SAT, sammen med RRC og ICE ruter. Kontroll enden, RRC, frontpanelet til TS480SAT, koblet til høyhastighet internett, ikke trådløst. I radioenden har jeg jordet alt utstyr, på grunn av HF. Radio, RRC, kabler, power, er jordet til samme punkt, med like lange jordingskabler.
Det som nok skjedde sist jeg var på hytta hvor dette står, var nok at strømkabel kan ha blitt lagt over/rundt koakskabel. Kanskje det også kan ha lagt seg en del is på antenner. (Windom og vertikal) Hvis det har kommet MASSE snø, kan windom antenna ha blitt tung og ligge nedi snøen på bakken. Den er hengt opp med solide fjærer i hver ende, så det har skjedd tidligere. Vertikal antenne har ikke evnen til å "samle" veldig mye snø, men noe kan det ha blitt. Det smelter normalt fort ved bruk.

Jeg har flyttet "shacken" på hjemme QTH. Etter det får jeg dårlige rapporter på modulasjon/audio. Dette har tidligere ikke vært noe problem. Jeg har ikke gjort noen endringer etter flyttingen. Har noen der ute noe eksempel på hva som kan påvirke modulasjon/audio i kontroll enden?

Under vises feilmelding på RRC radio. Jeg får ikke kontakt med RRC radio. Jeg kan imidlertid kontrollere den via en computer i radio enden, men oppnår altså ikke kontakt via web. Feil kode nr. 9- Håper å få svar på dette i løpet av dagen i dag, skal til hytta i dag og kan da se på dette når jeg er der. Radio befinner seg altså på hytta.
Har oppdatert software i begge RRC, til versjon 2.33

DynDns status   Error, code 19

klikker på "status" og får denne meldingen:

Har forsøkt å restarte device, men får opp samme melding eter restart. DynDns konto fungerer som den skal.
Ligger det bugs i versjon 2.33 som betyr at det er fornuftig å nedgradere?

Thank's for your polite answer.
Anyway, from time to time the status is : DynDns status: unknown.
But i beleive this also depends on the internet connection. I use ICE wireless connection to internet here in Norway. From time to time this has been unstable, but has been stabilised with new hardware as well as software in the bases.
If DynDns status continue with "Unknown" i will get back to you.
Normally it goes back to "OK" after a reboote of the RRC.

Thank's for upgrading of software for RRC 1258MkII. Never the less, for me, an "non software progarmming" user, it is rather difficult to understand the "message" in the DUNDNS status. Below you can find what my RRC tells me:

It's clear for me now, there have been some misunderstanding here. I am NOT using the HRD to control my radio.
I have connected the HamRadioDeluxe only for one simple reason, thats to read the freq. into the logging software.
I use only the RRC units to control the Kenwood TS-480. But, anyway, the radio are now working well and so are the HRD.

I use RRC in both ends and HRD at the control end. RRC are connencted like this:
By following your instructions from the link to "Kenwood TS-480"
At the radio end i have also connected the RS232 cabel fra COM port on radio to COM2 at RRC.
At the control end i have connected the RRC 232/USB with FTDI chip from COM2 at the RRC control to the USB port at the PC.
After switch the radio on, i can now open HRD and connect the radio to it. The HRD now read the freq.
I do not understand your allegation that TS-480 not should be connected to the TTL port at radio end, connection to the TTL port at radio end are used in your instruction, mentioned above.
Do i misunderstand something here?

ok, but what kind of connection do you suggest for my TS-480? I have done this: TTL connection at the radio RRC and of course to the COM2 at the radio end to transfer the Req. to the HRD at the control RRC.
in the control end:  HRD to the COM2 at the controll RRC. The reason for why i have done this, is through your's explanation's from the very beginning og my configuration og my RRC system.

Hi.
I have just upgraded both RRC units with the new Firmware, 2.28.
A ham freind told me that it is important to set COM2 mode to: "Logical paralell with COM 0" to read HRD correctcly into my Kenwood TS-480. When i do so, and push the "Submit" button and the the "apply changes", the RRC control restart.
When i get back to the serial setting, the COM2 mode has changed to "inactive"
I have tried several times and the same happends every time. Any suggest?

Jeg har WEB switch 1216E. Den er ikke tatt i bruk, men planlegger det i nærmeste fremtid. Ser på hjemmesiden at det ikke er tilgjenglig firmware for denne versjonen.
Skal jeg bruke firmware til 1216H ?

Jeg mener det jeg sier, for at RRC i kontroll enden skal få kontakt med RRC i radioenden, må begge være koblet til internett ved at begge har "mottatt" en IP adresse.
RRC i kontroll enden mottok ikke den nødvendige IP adressen slik at jeg kunne få kontakt med RRC i radioenden.
NET INFO ser slik ut.:
MAC       : 00:50:c2:11:8f:2b
IP address: 10.0.0.7
Netmask   : 255.255.255.0
Gateway   : 10.0.0.1
DNS       : 10.0.0.1

Jeg fant imidlertid problemet ved at DNS adressen var en annen enn Gateway adressen. Da jeg endret dette til slik du ser over, fungerer RRC i kontroll enden igjen. Men, den virker noe ustabil etter at jeg oppgraderte til versjon 2.21. Jeg kommer til å nedgradere til den versjonen jeg brukte før det: 2.15. Da fungerte dette helt flott.
Akkurat nå ligger ICE ruteren nede i radio enden, slik at kontakt allikevel ikke oppnås. Dette er forbigående, jeg skal reise til hytta i morgen for å finne ut av det problemet.

Har fått følgende forhold:
Etter å ha brukt RRC kontroll enhet på reise, sammen med min bærbare computer, har jeg brukt trådløs oppkobling til internett og koblet RRC til internet gjennom computeren's lokal tilkobling, gjennom å dele det trådløset kortet i PC'n med den lokale tilkoblingen. RRC stod da med innstilling DHCP. Dette fungerte fint.
Nå har jeg kommet hjem igjen og har koblet RRC til internett på vanlig måte, med kabel til ruter hjemme. DHCP innstillingen er fjernet. Men, boksen klarer ikke å koble opp mot internett. IP adresse er satt til samme serie som nettet forøvrig. Boksen er også oppgradert til ny firmware versjon 02.021.
Hva kan være feil?

I have now solved the problem this way:
go to control panel, network and sharing senter, selelct change settings for network
Right click on the "wireless network connection" select properties, select sharing, select "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" select local connection. I have also selected "DHCP yes" in the RRC. After this, the RRC always connect to the internet without problems.
I run the Windows 7 pro.

I am trying to connect RRC 1258 to internett via local connection in my laptop like this:
I have set up the "bridge" through local connection and the wireless network card in the pc.
From the local connection to the RRC 1258 i have a crossed over cable.
Under setup in RRC 1258 i have marked the DHCP and placed the IP adress and the gateway adress as the same as in the local network. (IP adress on the PC are: 192.168.1.140, the IP adress i have set in the RRC are: 192.168.1.9. The gateway in the PC are: 192.168.1.1, i have put the same in the RRC. The DNS in the PC are: 82.147.40.2, in the RRC: the same
and the RRC does not come on the internett.
Anyone out there who can tell me what i have done wrong?
