Configuration, RRC 1258 / Re: Ts2000+RC2000+PC on Radio Site
« on: 2015-12-14, 22:28:39 »
Hi,

For my TS-2000 / RC-2000 equipment I am have this configuration:

Control Settings:
Radio:
Program Mode: 8 TS-2000
COM 0 Baud: 57600

Serial:
COM 1: inactive
COM 2: Mode 4
Baudrate 9600
Use USB: yes

Radio settings (remote):
Radio:
Program Mode 8 - TS-2000
COM0 Baudrate 57600

Serial:
COM 1: inactive
COM 2: Mode 4
Bauderate 9600

Cable at control: USB from RRC to PC + TTL from RRC to RC-2000
Cable at Radio: RS-232 from RRC COM 2 to RS-232 TS-2000 + TTL from RRC to TS-2000
My cad program: ARCP-2000 or if you like: HRD

So you can use RC-2000 and CAD at the same time.

Hi,

Long time I also used IC-7600. Software was N4PY (http://www.n4py.com/) and vfo was woodbox tmate2 (http://www.woodboxradio.com/tmate2.html).

Hi,

I am using 2x TS-590S with upgraded software to Vers. 2.0. So the most features are the same as TS-590SG and I think, if you want, you can combine the new and old one. But it is necessary? TS-590SG is not much better, hi.

Hi,

Mike has to go through RRC, not to TS-590. Check the cables: http://www.remoterig.com/schema/K19-20-TS-590-twin.pdf

Keyer cable goes from pad Radio RRC to key (not paddle) TS-590. Use Vox for CW at TS-590.  See manual RRC: keyer
Sri, yes Baudrate in menu is 61.

Hi,

Change the baudrates (Kenwood Menue 56 and RRC 1258) to 9600. Radio-Mode 18. COM 2 mode is logical parallel to com 0.

Hi,

Using TS-590 Twin since 2 weeks now. Have the same flashing. May be it is normal so? What about flashing Twin Yaesu/K3?
I can turn on and switch off the Radios without any problems. Mike and key are working fine (of course through both RRC`s). Managed the cables as recommended.

The Expert PA ist following automatically the Radio, but only together with HRD-CAD (Mode 7 RRC Control and RRC Radio). ARCP-590 instead HRD is working unstable and TX almost hangs up.

Anyone using Twin TS-590 having ideas

Hi Steve,

If you like cw with a paddle, you also can control your IC-7800 with RS-BA1 (so I do) like this example of supported rigs:

ICOM in general: http://www.remoterig.com/wp/?page_id=450

From RS-BA1 you need only remotecontrol not utility via COM 2 or USB MK1258. So you can use a paddle or keyboard and cw-memory from IC-7800.

Amp. and rotor is as Mitch explained.

Mic Set in RS-BA1 should set to "MIC" not "USB" or "ACC"

Hi Kari,

Yes you are right, I also suppose low speed is not the reason for the connectionlosses. I observe  accumulating connectionlosses in evening hours. So, as I told, in our clubstation (download 1800 kb/s, up 120 kb/s) the connection is stable all the time. The same connectionlosses I observed by using pc-client and RS-BA1. But all this is not a problem of microbit products! Btw. minimum speed 350 kb/s rated by ICOM is incl. audio.

I dont know about TRX-Manager, but you can compare it by downloading (http://www.n4py.com/) and testing for 10 days.

Hi Kari,
Yes I`m using RC-28 and it is working absolut fine. In splitoperation to change Vfo B you can push A/B or xfc-button (also shortcuts).
A big RS-BA 1-problem is to loose the connection. For this I started a topic http://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php?topic=1443.0 but no satisfied answer. I think the problem is too much traffic on my DSL-line because from another connection out of town RS-BA1 is very stable. So additional I use N4PY software together with a flexcontrol knob. Witch is very stable and allows also dualwatch. Btw. I do not require more than 2000 kb dwn and 500 kb up in maximum.
