Another thing.  The cable that you use must have the proper conductors wired to bring the RTS and CTS leads from the TS480 back into the 1258 so that the JMP3 option works.  If you made your own cable, the RTS and CTS can be looped right at the TS480 connector as noted in the Kenwood document.

Hello Mike,

I sent you an email a few days ago with the new license # and it still is not working.  I'm getting TIMEOUT.  I rechecked all my settings.  What next?

Hi Trent,

I'm a bit confused.  If you are running the RRC-1258 units at both the Control and Radio side of the connection when using the Control head, how is your wife turning on the TS480?  The Radio RRC1258 TTL cable plugs into the TS480 radio where the control head would normally go, so you can't have a control head at the ranch unless you are switching one in and out.

We have used the ARCP-10 software with no problems.  Are you using COM2 for the CAT control?

The manual (page 18) states this:  Both Kenwood and Yaesu transceivers need the RTS and CTS pins to be strapped together.  JMP-3 inside the box can be used to strap them if you want to use a standard fully connected cable.  This may be your problem.

General / New phone, how do I transfer license?

Hello,

I purchased a new phone and loaded the Nano App to the new phone.  How do I get it activated for my paid account from the old phone?

Thanks, Joe, K1ike

I tried the utility several times and it did not help.

Another problem may be forming.  It looks like my IP provider is going to IVP6 format.  Will RemoteRig be able to deal with IVP6 addresses in the future?
My IVP6 address is now 2601:188:0:568f:d95:cf5e:1796:xxxx  (last 4 characters deleted).

It's been a long time since I posted this problem.  Is anyone out there from Microbit???

I haven't seen a reply for thuis question.  Am I the only one having this problem?

Thanks, Joe, K1ike

I tried loading Microbit Setup Manager V1.28 because it said that the load included the proper drivers.  I did not see the drivers load.  The virtual port setup is still not working.

I upgraded to Windows 10 and now I am trying to setup virtual comports using the Microbit Setup Manager version 1.31.  I am getting an error "Invalid Virtual Serial Port, please select another" message when the program first opens up.  Looking at the Serial Port setup, they are all showing as not installed.  If I install a virtual serial port it tells me that the serial port is created, but if I Refresh or try to use it the com port goes away and says not installed.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Joe, K1ike

Both my desktop and laptop are running Win7 Professional, SP 1, 64 bit.  They have the problem.

I tried my wife's older computer that has Win Vista Home Basic, SP2, 32 bit and it works without a problem.  It seems to be related to the OS on my computers.

I have seen similar posts in the past referring to this problem.  I wonder what OS they are running?

I have tried several computers and used IE, Firefox and Chrome.  They all seem to fail or take a long time to respond.

Audio streaming and radio control are working OK.

Ver 2.90 says "New feature: It’s now possible to change setup profile in a control RRC using the CW pot."

Any documentation on how this works?

I've noticed that this problem has been getting worse as times goes by.  I am trying to access the web server port and it seems to "hang up" as the page is loading.  Sometimes I only get the left hand column, sometimes nothing happens.  This is happening on 4 RRC1258 units, both Control and Radio units, on local LAN IP and remote IP.  Occasionally the F5 key will reload the page and clear the problem.  All are running firmware V2.87

Any ideas?  Anyone having the same problem?  I saw some posts about this last year and wonder if it is still happening to people.
