Do I understand that you can use an ft-450 to control an ft-2000? or do the radios need to match?

It *may* work......take a look at the manual, page 130. There details are provided on
tested configurations, of which this is not one of them.

I personally would not use the FT-450, since it does not provide enough controls to control
the higher-end products. The lowest I would use is the FT-950. However, maybe someone
has experience with that rig with Yaesu Twin and can provide qualified feedback. It may be
adequate for your needs, that is a personal decision. I use two FT-2000's myself.

Thanks a lot Mitch for your answer.

I believe I will give a try first with this configuration (FT450 & FT2000) and I hope it would work otherwise I will purchase a second FT2000.

Sorry for the duplicate topic, I've search before using Google, not the internal search engine.

Hello Cedric and Mitch,

Are there any updates regarding that setup ?

I would like to install something in the car and thus would like to have a small control-panel. Experience-reports with these ´unsymmetrical twin concepts´ (e.g. FT450 controlling an FT2000 or alike) would be appreciated.

Thanks and vy 73

Uwe,

I am not aware of anyone using that configuration, but maybe someone on the forum or the Microbit
guys may know.
