Control Unit Off--IC-706 set up
« on: 2013-04-20, 23:22:16 »
I can't get my twin RRCs to function. Everything seems normal, both units start up properly and show solid green on both power and ethernet (both are now on the same network for this troubleshooting). When I press the power button on the IC head unit, the orange light comes on on the Control unit Aux/Mic socket, the alarm tone is on the speaker and nothing else happens. The status page on the control web interface shows the control panel as "Off". Any ideas???

You are smart to get it working first within the same network; it amazes me how
many skip this step and wonder why it doesn't work when they take it outside.

From your description, it appears to have network connectivity. The problem is
therefore probably very simple, such as using the wrong SIP contact or misspelled
the SIP password on one RRC.

I can send you my networking checklist that walks you through the process. You
should be able to located the problem using it. Drop me a mail at dj0qn (at) darc.de
and I will send you my latest version in the morning.
