Hi All... Am setting up the TS480 for CW, using paddle to PAD socket and PAD socket at radio end to Key input on TS480. Followed settings as per the book. Only way I can get CW to work is to press PTT on Mic (red tx light on control head lights but no TX) then use paddle to generate CW. I have tried various settings on IO settings, only one that produces any result is Out2 where selecting PTT provides full PTT with tx, or Keyer, which provides CW operation but only if PTT on Mic is pressed. Out1 and Out2 make no change, irrespective of their settings. Have checked all connections and they seem ok. It looks like I am missing something basic??
