Changing ADSL router caused a problem?
« on: 2015-12-17, 09:43:07 »
Hi All,

I changed my ADSL router at home to a new one and I believe my problem with CONTROL RRC is related to that. Every time I turn my radio (K3/0) on there is a SIP error and the radio will not be connected. If I reboot the RRC at home and turn the radio on again everything works just fine. But that is not very convenient so I am looking for a solution to fix this. The only observation for the possible cause of the behavior so far is the SIP out port. After rebooting the RRC the port number is 5060 and after closing the radio it stays at 5060 for a while but then changes to a random number between 5070-5120. If I turn the radio on when the SIP out port is anything but 5060 it will not work. Could it have something to do with this?

I have my RRC IP set as DMZ at the router. RRC FW is 2.86.

All ideas are very much appreciated as I need to keep my current ADSL router. The old model became unstable and it is no longer supported by my ISP.

Hi

probably it handle 5060 different, change at least 5060 to another in both ends, we now use 13000,13001,13002 as default ports.
Also be sure that SIP ALG is disabled in the new router. The random number is nothing strange, some routers change port numbers for every session

Thanks Mike for your prompt reply.

The port number 13000 seems to work and stay unchanged. No need to reboot the RRC yet so this looks quite promising.

SIP ALG was already disabled.
