Hi

A simplified instruction

1.you need to make a CAT cable from Radio-RRC Com2 to the radios com port.

2. set the TS-480 com port to 9600 baud

3.set up the Radio-RRC Com2 to Kenwood prot, 9600 baud etc.

4.set the Micro RRC Com 2 also to Kenwood prot, chose one of the virtual comports

5. set HRD to TS-480, Chose the same comport as above and set 9600 baud

Some additions that can be changed if all is runing ok like Mike wrote.

2. set the TS-480 com port to 9600 baud
Maximum that it works ok here is 38400baud

3.set up the Radio-RRC Com2 to Kenwood prot, 9600 baud etc.
If 2 is changed to 38400 also change this one.

4.set the Micro RRC Com 2 also to Kenwood prot, chose one of the virtual comports
This should be the last virtual comport in your list, (com2)

"Mike can change the driver so that we can assign/change the comport-number pse
when installing now it assigns portnumbers that never have been used b4,
even when they are not in use or attached anymore, mine are 9-13 and 14 and some programs still dont
work above comport8.

5. set HRD to TS-480, Chose the same comport as above and set 9600 baud
If 2 is changed to 38400 also change this one

depending on the cable you made RTS and CTS need to checked in HRD when there is no-short
between pin7-8 at the tranceiver comport

6 NEW in the RRC Radio side set in radio settings  AUDIO QUALITY to 0 alaw(alow) 8 kHz

sometimes in HRD you don't get audio at start
just slide the AF to max and it start working ok
after that you set it lower again

Dear Mike & Guy,
I follow your suggestions but the system not work.
I check the cable (pin to pin 2-3-5 and 7-8), rtx (set 9600), radio unit (n.1958 sw 2.025), every things possible but no way.
The radio works ok in local with hrd (same cable), the radi works ok in remote with control unit (I tried in local 192.168.0.228 and dynDNS), but don't work in remote with micro pc...
I tried 2 computers: windows 7 and xp
any other suggestions?
may be it is wrong the software 1.0.12 ?
many thanks
Nick

Hi Nick
I use version 1.0.12 in pc client and version 2.26 in RRC

btw is your password longer then 9 characters ?
I think that the lenght of the password in the pcclient is not
10 char long like it is in the RRC, maybe try without password

Hi Nick,
nice to hear it is working now, when you try with dyndns you have to be in another
network (remote place or via GSM to PC connection) since it normally doesn't work from inside
your own network without modifing a lot in your pc settings
