Moving the unit.
« on: 2016-05-06, 22:33:24 »
My father has a remote rig set up and running from his apartment to my QTH using my antennas.

There is a possibility in the future that he is going to have to move to another apartment.

We are SIP Contact for the units to communicate.

When this move happens, do we have to totally reprogram the unit that he has or will it just connect back up and find the right IP address?

Thanks

Bob,

I think you are referring to only moving the control RRC. In that case, you should be able to move
it anywhere, as long as it is set to DHCP. The SIP Contact is for the radio RRC and would never change
if that RRC stays put.
