Authentication Required
« on: 2016-11-16, 19:02:04 »
I recently bought a hams remoterig that has been operating for several years with no problems and moved it to my location in a different city. We have gone through the 3 page check list for setup but had trouble getting the 2 boxes to link.

Now we get a popup box requesting authentication from remoterig server.

A post from 2015 that had the same problem talked about reseting the radio unit but im wondering if my problem is that we never set up my own ddns server.

Any ideas?

The login form is from the local webserver in the box, you have set it up to ask for login.

If you do not have done it by your self it can be robots on the net doing it, it's quite common. So always  set up your own login and password before anybody else does.

Do you mean this popup is coming from my internet provider. I just got this rural wifi service hooked up a week ago.

Thanks for quick reply

No, it's from the webserver inside the Remoterig RRC box

I think what Mike really means is that since you have a used RRC, you will need to hit the reset
button to change it back to the factory settings. Then you will no longer have that password
problem, and will anyway have to do the settings new.
