Appreciated Help
« on: 2010-12-14, 15:31:27 »
Hi Mikael:

I want to say thanks for all your assistance the past few days with getting my Remote Rig 1258MkII straightened out.
All your tips really worked and I can't wait to drop them into my HF station this weekend.
I too have discovered an extra dit in my CW now and then but I think it just might be my paddles, it went away when I slowed down.
It might also be where everything is only in the next room and I'm receiving the echo of the reconstruction.
In order to configure my Yaesu FT-450 for straight key operation, you just turn off the keyer.
How ever, I had to turn on CW Break In in HRD to key the rig. That was strange, but it worked.
So I may have to make some more CW menu adjustments. That's not a big deal because I now have a fully capable HF remote station, including
CW and if I'm  a little careful with my paddles, the CW QSO should be fine. (HIHIHI)
