Testing RRC1258MKII units
« on: 2017-08-28, 15:19:47 »
Hi, all concerned:

Have K3/0 to RRcwspd to router to RRnocwspd to K3/100, set up on workbench at control location for troubleshooting.

I have comm, indicated by all functions working except cannot cause K3/100 to transmit.

Have tried different cables, double-checked connections, upgraded firmwares, the "easy" things.

K3/100 xmits when not in system.

Is there a way, such as loopback or other, to tell which RR box might be causing the problem?

You can see the PTT status at the status page in each box. from that you can determine where you have the problem. Note that you must reload the pages after pressing/releasing the PTT, The status page will not update automatically.

Hi, Mike:
The short story: CW xmit works properly again since I changed IO settings today and saved the parameters.
Tks for your suggestion.
I intend to become more familiar, as I read the manual closely, with the effect that changing various settings has on system operation.
Having the system on 1 workbench makes it easier.

My intended remote site is on google earth here:
39°     21'    36.44" West               -84°   41'    31.79" North
39.360122°                                  -84.692164°
It is a former AT&T microwave relay site.
